Are you doing any other classes?

Just a heads up guys, we can't do the class applications through the website since that feature isn't out for our version of Vb yet. That means we'll need to fall back on the old system of using threads or PMs to sign up. Any ideas about how we can do it that in the most organized way possible would be great and sorry for the inconvenience.

Members go to the class catalog and decide what classes they want and go to the summer class registration thread. They only post the class IDs they want and then teachers assemble a list of all their students for quick adding and removal from the usergroup and mass PMs.

That is a possibility. We could also have a spoiler for the entire catalog in the signup thread.

So far I will do MILD classes. I plan others but I want to start with MILD. It will be the most rewarding and deep course

Yes. That is the proper idea. They pull the class lists and then they request the Class-ID they are interested in. A thread with only that information should be created. All other off-topic threads will be erased and considered spam in case of abuse from a single user.

Mm I don't think we would need to delete peoples threads unless they are spam or already covered. And btw can I be the first student in your MILD class.

Yeah, that is what I meant. Erase spam only. Not the sign up threads because we need to keep track of everything

Good news--the mod we needed for applications was just released today and Alex installed it right away. I'm in the midst of setting up applications for each of the classes that are open for enrollment.


When a student applies, the application will be sent to whoever is teaching the course. The application will also be posted in a thread in case the teacher for whatever reason becomes unavailable.

OK, double posting I know, but this is important for how we can do these applications:

1. Make a thread in DVA staff for your applications.

2. Make up a list of questions you want in your application and PM this list to me along with the link to your thread.

3. ???

4. PROFIT.

Wow, now we are getting somewhere. My question though... umm... were do you go to fill out an application? I mean, I know they are here... In our staff section, but where would the average noob go?
