Thread: What are some good anime films?

Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle for sure I've haven't got the chance to see Ponyo, but I would only want to watch the Japanese version with English subtitles.

the complete FLCL has a runtime of only 150min. That's close to a movie, right?

So I vote for that.

Perfect combination of action and comedy, imho.

I heard "5 centimeters per second" was good, but I haven't had a good chance to watch it.

I do not believe that this concept exists.

Ponyo is a really, REALLY great movie! It may be meant for children, but you can really enjoy this movie at any age. Very imaginative!

Death Note is a really good series, short, but amazing. Then again, I don't watch a whole lot of anime.

Fullmetal Alchemist (鋼の錬金術師) and Durarara!! (デュラララ!!) The latter is less known but still amazing and, though it's short, the climactic episodes will really get you thinking about yourself. And FMA is just beast, both the original and the brotherhood series. The original movie is out in both english and japanese and the brotherhood movie was released in japan at the beginning of this month and should be out in english in 2012.

Note: I am not a fan of bleach or the other "major" animes. I prefer animes with a more philosophical perspective that really get you thinking (though I've only seen a dozen bleach episodes and i think there's like 300 so i can't judge too much)
