      127 Hours

I just recently watched this film and wanted to recommend it to the community. It was incredibly captivating and emotional. The cinematography was great and overall a great movie. Has anyone else seen it?

127 Hours is a 2010 biographical adventure film produced, co-written and directed by Danny Boyle. The film stars James Franco as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, who became trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah, for more than five days in 2003. The film, based on Ralston's autobiography Between a Rock and a Hard Place, was written by Boyle and Simon Beaufoy and produced by Christian Colson, who previously teamed up for Slumdog Millionaire, and John Smithson.

Was a good movie, although I didn't really care for the ending too much.

Really? I thought it was a good finish, nothing else they could have done really.

I saw it tonight and loved it!
As for the ending, I really liked it.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yeah I loved it too, I loved how they showed the real Aron Ralston at the end as well.

      Yeah!
I'm definitely getting it on blu-ray when it comes out.

Yeah, I didn't find it necessary that they showed the real Aron at the end. I think it takes you out of the film. I mean at least if you are going to show him, don't go back to Franco moments later. I also cared little for the dramatic Sigur Ros music playing over the whole ending.

Haven't watched the movie, but heard about the guy. I don't think I'd be able to cut my own arm off... I think I'd just let myself die. *cringe*

My mum started telling me about it and was shocked when I asked her to stop because I started feeling sick. I'm fine with horrors and stuff, but when it comes to people losing limbs... Ugh, that's my weakness.

Agreed, I don't know why they put Franco back in.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe his arm was numb due to a lack of circulation from the rock I don't know if he felt the maximum amount of pain from cutting his arm off. It is quite bad I have to admit, definitely not for the squeamish.

I'm sure that although the circulation was cut off, the nerves were still functioning (which is why it hurt so much when he cut his arm off). I might be wrong too though.

I'm thinking I would be able to, but quite frankly it's impossible to tell unless you actually find yourself in that situation. One can never be sure.
