Cave of Ordeals owned with no shield and the Ordon sword. I did have to use the magic armour for the iron knuckles at the end though.
At least once every person should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk doesn't come from the market, safety doesn't come from policemen, and news isn't something that happens to other people.

I just rented this, tonight. I haven't played any of the Zelda games on the GameCube, so is there going to be a lot of this game that I'm not going to understand or anything? Is the story extremely tied into its predecesors, or is it a good stand-alone game, too?

Are you sure you've played a Zelda game before? No, it's not a sequel or anything. It is its own story, so you won't be missing anything. In fact, if you had played earlier Zeldas and expected a consistent storyline, you'd be really, really confused. "Where did all the water go?!"

Well, it's only been over a decade since the last time I've played a Zelda game, and things do change. That's why I asked. (That and the IGN review called it a sequel, albeit they said "sequel to the 1998 n64 game") Smartass.

      Thanks, though.

It's a "sequel" in the sense that if you played the "original," you'll be really familiar with some of the concepts and locations. That's quite true of all Zelda games though.

I LOVE this game. IloveitIloveitIloveit. It took me a little while to get used to it, but omgogmogm.

Oh wait. You're not playing it on the Wii??

      Yeah, I figured that...
But my not being completely sure led me to ask.

Yeah, I'm playing it on the Wii. I haven't started yet, but maybe within the hour, after I get my schoolwork done.

AHHH!! Let me know how it goes. It starts off nice but a little slow. In my opinion, it really kicks off after about the first 30 minutes.

I personally think that the game would be played better on the Gamecube. The Wii-waggling to wave your sword didn't really gel in my opinion.

It's a fantastic games, one of my favs. It has an excellent story, but not one of the best. There's plenty of games out there with better storylines. But with that said, it is still a great one.
