I hate a lot of heavy metal. To me, it sounds like amplified white noise and screaming.

I Believe in a Thing Called Love by the Darkness.

      ...

But that's also the best song ever.

Lost hope for this song at 17 seconds in.

      Get Loose Shawty

Lost hope for this particular song at 30 seconds (after the three big bass hits)

This song can get quite annoying since it's tempo fucks itself in the face but it has a SWEET part (40 seconds to 55 seconds).

Almost anything that is played at the average bar is almost unbearable unless you're drunk and on the dance floor with women. There are some classics, like Jump Around, Run DMC songs, and Shout! that are absolutely appreciable at the bar even without women or copious amounts of alcohol, but that's cause we all know them (oh and everyone sings) and they have that nostalgia quality too.

I suspect club music has always sucked, at least since the 70's when disco hit the scene. It's a shame that so few of my friends like pubs or places with live music (real instruments, not turntables).

There are bars that play rock, and some that have juke boxes. There are all kinds of bars. I can't stand dance clubs. Every time I ever went to one, I was ready to leave the whole time.

Even though I don't dance and can't stand most dance music, I really love disco. You should give disco another look. There is some damn good music from that genre. Have you ever heard "Upside Down" by Diana Ross, "Night Fever" by the Bee Gees, or "Don't Leave Me This Way" by Thelma Houston? There really is some phenomenal disco, I think. I might start a thread on it.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

There are no rock bars where I live, but we have a population of about a quarter of a million, so we're relatively small. The only places that play rock music are pubs and our rock bars with live music, and like I said, most of my friends just don't go there.

Disco has some catchy stuff no doubt, and I don't protest when my mom decides to throw in some ABBA or what have you, but I find it wears thin quickly. A disco song thrown into the mix is alright, especially if I know the words, is alright, but it just never feels substantial. Now the Motown sound from the same time was something you could dance to and actually had depth. I'm generalizing a bit, and there are groups and individuals who cross over and blur the lines, but such is the nature of discussing genres of music.

      El Chombo - Chaccaron.

Everyone go listen to that and your ears will bleed. It isn't even a song, it's just a guy making stupid mumbling sounds.

Y' don't think it could have been the mixture of that song and all the fucking acid he did?

Anyways, for me it's anything emo. Can't stand it. Musically and Lyrically its all so poorly written. And why the fuck do they stop and go, "Ohhoooohoooohooohooohooohooh."?

SO.... do we all agree that Avril Lavign is a no-talent Canadian whore?
I feel bad that I have to share race with her.

I'd still stick it in her. She's got that going for her.

Sorry to the people that don't liked hip hop/R&B but I love it. Shawty Get Loose isn't that bad if you last through Lil Mama's singing.
I HATE girl pop songs! They annoy me so much. The singers like Avril Lavine or however you spell it and Pink and everyone like that.

No, it was all "Revolution 9". There is really nothing wrong with Manson outside of hearing that song.

I dig it. It's almost genius in its awfulness.
