I actually JUST came back from seeing it in theaters.

Firstly, aside from Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, and John Leguizamo, this movie has the ABSOLUTE WORST acting of any movie I have ever seen.

Seriously... it's like crappy high school drama class bad. Especially the iPhone lady in the small town restaurant scene.

Also, from about the halfway point, you learn NOTHING about what is causing people to kill themselves or why. It's just a mystery, and we "may never know".

And honestly, it's really just an extended version of the previews. Every "poeple killing themselves" scene was in the previews, and alot of the plot.

And despite all this, for some reason I would reccomend that people see it and form their own opinions, because it wasn't ALL bad.

It Happened. I give it a 6/10. It definitely wasn't the kind of movie I normally see, but some friends wanted to go and they said they'd help pay for gas. I've seen worse movies, but I'd recommend to anyone who wants to see it to just rent it when it comes out. Rent it on Netflix or Blockbuster if you can; no sense wasting gas money to go get it, either.

(And I like most movies I see, so a 6/10 is a low score from me.)

      ...that was mean.
Yeah but you don't give any explanation, you just bash my taste in movies. What was bad about Cloverfield? That was the most intense roller-coaster movie I've ever seen. And what is good about 6th sense? It's completely obvious what's going on from the beginning.

And I love The Happening. I just got told to see it and didn't read about it because I gave up on M Night Shamalalansb after Signs and The Village. I didn't know what the fuck was going on the whole time, so it was the shit.

I actually thought it was a decent movie.
      I agree, bad acting,
but the point of it was interesting.

I'm starting to think you're a robot, programmed to make a new account on Dreamviews to find threads of films that have been out for well over half a year (usually more), then revive them by posting some meaningless post in 1-3 lines.

      I like it.

You're being ridiculous. On an online forum like this, you can't just go around reviving threads like this not adding to them. There is a sticky in the announcements forum about what is acceptable regarding thread zombification. There are very few people who have become as disliked as you on this forum in 35 posts! We dislike you for genuine reasons. Post reported, hope you get banned. If you don't get banned, then I suggest you clean up your act.

Lul, I might as well add what I thought about the movie. It was complete crap. It was so bad that I was confused on whether or not to think it was bad. I thought the acting was literally some sort of joke weaved into the plot. The most ridiculous part of the movie had to be when they all watched that lion rip that guy's arms off on an iPhone. Not one of Shamalan's best works.

Me and my boyfriend watched this together. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a worse movie. The acting was terrible, and the plot was twice as bad as the acting. I would have rather sat down and watched teletubbies for the duration of the film. I would have rather bathed in a tub full of elephant excrement while listening to crying babies then watch this film.

Maybe you should try not to have such a huge ego. Maybe you should not go on super-offensive stance every time. And maybe you should read the announcement about necroposting.

Maybe Necroposting should be renamed something more obvious lol. I, seriously, completely miss most subtle hints and plays on words. I almost didn't read the Sticky because I assumed it was unimportant (though I should've known better because it WAS a *sticky*). My curiosity eventually got the best of me and I was genuinely surprised by the information lol.

I LOVED the Happening and the Village. I liked Cloverfield. My hubby and I have an inside joke about the "Lady in the Water". To us, it symbolizes the very worst of things (i.e. "How did your trip to the dentist go?" ..... "It wasn't nearly as bad as that drowning lady!")

I REALLY would have been lost then lol
At least after I read the Sticky here, it made sense
Old threads aren't "garbage" IMHO, they've just died a natural death
Which is why I've always call bringing up dead threads as "resurrecting old threads" lol
