      No idea...

Haven't played it in forever, and I didn't even play all the maps.

But they are coming out with a new version in the winter time.

Mirror's Edge could learn a few tricks from that mod (probably did)

I would love to see a giant map in Mirrors Edge that's like Kreedz Climbing where you have to climb to the top.

      Just beat it last night.

I'm getting it for Christmas (I work at gamestop so I was able to take it home).

The reviews for it are so far pretty.. eh.. mediocre. The main complains seem to be the e-surance esque cutscenes (that ticked me off also) and the extreme shortness of it.

It's 6 or 7 hours long. And the cutscenes are kind of annoying.

But other than that it's amazing.

I always get lost in the game

It's really fun, but most of the time I just want to keep running foward and jumping and climbing on things, but then I just run foward and next thing I know I'm jumping off a building

      It's great

can't be as longwinded as various MGS cutscenes (don't get me wrong, I still love the series)

I ain't got a game since the Orange Box, but this looks pretty amazing to me.

Anyone know when it's out on PC?

It looks worth it for the visuals alone. They've realised the sterile utopia/dystopia theme perfectly...

They really need to get a "Visit a Map" feature.

so someone tell me...is this game worth buying? or does it quickly lose steam after completing the game? and do the time trials keep the replay value up?

"Sterile" already eliminates the need to add any gunk or garbage or mess.
"Eutopia" is a relative term, and Mirror's Edge ran with the most generic ideas which can be found in every day cities.

It isn't a utopia though, that's the point; it just looks like one... but there's something off.

yeah, my blockbuster has been slacking a lot with all the big releases lately too. And they can't use the "economic crisis" as an excuse either.

looks like xbox owners will be able to make their own Kreed's Climing type of games with simple programing, and no programing skills (hopefully)

Hm, the graphics look so shit in that video. Is it really all that much better in the game?
Don't bite my head off like you did to mes tarrant, dylanshmai.

Honestly, I don't know about the game but that trailer is shit on youtube.

Also I don't know why they called the people Runners. Why not Free Runners? Since that's what they are doing and it kinda fits in with what I gather the game is about. Them running and fighting for freedom.

Side note: Anyone else think they added wide screen to youtube to accommodate the ads at the bottom of the video screen which take up at least 1/4th of the viewing area?

EDIT: Alright where the fuck can I get a demo of this?

Protip: the game is based on Unreal Engine 3,0. DICE has never been known to make good map-editors for their games, but since the Unreal Editor is included with Unreal Engine 3.0, I see no reason why they shouldn't include it. There might be some implications with the advanced lighting system though.

Anyway, I'm getting this for PC whenever it comes out. Playing it with keyboard and mouse shouldn't be a problem.

About the entire deal with Mes and her "no video games with realistic humans around yet", take a look at what the CryEngine2.0 can pull off:
