Tell me what's on your itunes Top 25 Most Played. Please?

If you don't have itunes, tell me what songs you play most often (on any other music player, or your stereo.) Or tell me what you're listening to at this very moment.

Also, if you do have itunes, how much music is currently on it?

I'm a self-proclaimed music junkie, always on the look-out for new music. And to know what music other people love makes me feel I know them just a little bit better.

I'll start. My list isn't quite up-to-date, as I'm using a new computer I haven't used for a few months, but here it is anyway:

      my Top 25 Most Played:

      "Oh!" - Sleater Kinney
"King of Carrot Flowers" - Neutral Milk Hotel
      "Sunday" - Sonic Youth
      "Caress" - Drive Like Jehu
"Should've Seen Us Yesterday" - Kissing Book
      "Flipside" - The Breeders
      "I Spy" - Beat Happening
"Two-Headed Boy pt. 1" - Neutral Milk Hotel
"Song Against Sex" - Neutral Milk Hotel
"pitter patter goes my heart" - Broken Social Scene
      "Rollerskate" - Call and Response
      "New Years" - Asobi Seksu
      "Frenzied Handsome Hello" - Deerhoof
      "Bees" - Caribou
      "He War" - Cat Power
      "Obstacle 1" - Interpol
"Give Me The Pen" - Desaparecidos
      "Nudes" - Rites of Spring
      "Holy Night" - Deerhoof
      "People Eating Fruit" - Manitoba
"Hung Up On A Dream" - The Zombies
      "Love Buzz" - Nirvana
"Shoot You Down" - The Stone Roses
      "Happy Ending" - Manitoba
"We've Got Boxes" - Les Savy Fav

my current itunes load: 2340 songs, 6:03:54:22 total time, 8.07GB
currently listening to: Four Tet - "She moves she"

<3 Jesus Ranch, Gorillaz, Sublime, Alkaline Trio, and Non-English music.
I'll be sure to check those world songs out.

And I dislike that Wombats song only because I love actual Joy Division.
No offense, it's just a matter of principle for me.

      Thanks for answering!

I usually listen to like, half a song, and then go to another. So this isn't quite correct, but nonetheless...

      7. Mockingbird- Eminem
      8. Situations- Escape the Fate

      11. Lollipop- Lil Wayne
      12. Caught In a Hustle- Immortal Technique
      13. I'm Me- Lil wayne
      14. Adam's Song- Blink 182
      15. Lollipop Remix ft Kanye West- Lil' Wayne
      16. That's Fatal- The RZA
      17. Everything's Magic- A&A

Interesting stuff, acatal... I'll have to start listening to NMH some time.

I just started on Sonic Youth. I've heard a few songs, it took a couple of tries for me to really like Teenage Riot; I have a feeling the rest might be a bit of an acquired taste?

Weird that Shoot You Down is your highest Roses track, it's probably one of my least listened to...

I Am The Resurrection (the 8 minute one) is probably my favourite but they have an amazing number of songs in my best ever... She Bangs The Drums, Waterfall, This Is The One, Elephant Stone, Love Spreads, Ten Storey Love Song, Begging You, Sally Cinnamon... John Squire was a genius on the level of the Beatles.

Unfortunately my iPod has been run over. By a car. So no top 25 from me at the mo.

Sonic Youth, just now? Looooove them. The album "Washing Machine" is my favorite, maybe it'd be a good place to start...if not "Daydream Nation". They are definately acquired as you said, and went through many evolutions so it's difficult finding a place to start. Speaking of, the album "Evol" is really good too.

Funny, "She Bangs..." is one of my least favorites. Love Spreads is indeed amazing...well, they all are.

I'm sorry to hear about your ipod! Perhaps it's worth noting that I don't have an ipod. My list is just from when I play music on iTunes on my computer.

And thank you everyone for answering!

You actually like Death Magnetic. I would give it a few more listens but the mixing was horribly done in my opinion. It sounds way overcompressed.

Like I said, I use it everyday. I don't listen to full songs all the time. I've had my iTunes since I was a preteen basically.

And who says Blink 182 is preteen?! I love that band! But yes, I do admit some of the Lil Wayne is kind of young, but Immortal Technique is a very deep and interesting rapper. Most of his songs aren't just about money and whores.

The song on my list "Peruvian Cocaine" is about the distribution and selling of cocaine from it's homegrown country, and the political ties with it.

      You should listen to it.

Here's my Zune top 15, just cause I don't know how to find a full list and I don't use iTunes.

      Simeon's Dilemma - Why?
      The Hollows - Why?
Dancing Choose - TV on the Radio
      (Silence) - Portugal. The Man
Red Dress - TV on the Radio
Crying - TV on the Radio
Family Tree - TV on the Radio
Bury Me With It - Modest Mouse
      These Few Presidents - Why?
Golden Age - TV on the Radio
      Bukowski - Modest Mouse
Bomb Yourself - TV on the Radio
Who's Gonna Save My Soul - Gnarls Barkley
Halfway Home - TV on the Radio
Shout Me Out - TV on the Radio

It would be way different, but I fell asleep with "Dear Science" by TV on the Radio and "Alopecia" by Why? playing on shuffle. Then I left for 2 days and they were still playing when I got back.

And my music collection is expanding daily.
      As of right now it's
      180 artists
      446 albums
      5431 songs
with a total play time of 80,747 minutes
      36.16 gbs.

      2. The Beatles - I Will
Wow, that's a bit of an outlier... that's the White Album, right?

Why do you like it so much? That's a pretty obscure track to have as a favourite.

I think my personal favourite from that album is Helter Skelter.

My opinion about the whole album is quite reserved though... somewhere between brilliance and catastrophe.

Good call on all the EITS, minus the bear, maps and atlases, god is an astronaut, and a lot of other great stuff... And I love him, but doesn't Sufjan seem a little out of place on that list?

Also an awesome call on Gnarls Barkley.

Awesome lists. Glad to see there are a lot of eclectic listeners here at dv.

      Thank you everyone for answering!

Eh, I like Julia and Blackbird. I will is fun to play on guitar, and helter skelter is a favorite, too. I like the older Beatles a bit more, but It's all amazing.
