I agree with Cartman, the jokes in Family guy just aren't relevant to the plot, and are completely random. |

South Park. No contest. South Park is the funniest show of all time. Trey Parker is the greatest comedy writer in the history of television. |

How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
I agree with Cartman, the jokes in Family guy just aren't relevant to the plot, and are completely random. |

Okay, I'll bite, even though I know I'll get attacked for it. I prefer Family Guy over South Park. There, say whatever you want about me. |

DILDs: A Lot
South Park Studios is, I think, my favorite website in the history of websites. |

Then you, my friend, are a grave minority among fans of Matt Groening's work. I can't help but see a lot of the humor in Futurama as childish (although it's a kind of childish that I happen to like). Sure, a lot of the humor in The Simpsons can be considered childish as well, but to a much lesser degree, I think. |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
You know, I used to find South Park preachy and mean-spirited, too, but at some point it just kind of clicked that they aren't taking themselves seriously AT ALL. They're not "spitting venom" at anyone; they're just laughing at them. I find my own views on the receiving end often enough, but I can still laugh at the absurdist satire. The soapbox shtick is largely self-parody; their first and only loyalty is to humor. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
I think that I like The Simpsons better than Futurama overall, but I saw one of the many full-length Futuramas that they did and it was great. |

Of the four shows talked about here... |

Depends on the mood I'm in. South Park seems to do political issues better, but Family Guy non-linear humor can be pretty funny. |
|
White girl, you can ask her what the dick be like
And monster madness doing drive-bys on a fuckin fixie bike
Fuck it moron, snortin oxycontin, wearin cotton,
Oxymoron like buff faggots playin sissy dykes
South Park is hilarious and the jokes are original. |
|
Everyone pretty much bashes FG for the same thing, the endless cut-scene jokes. I agree, most of the cut-scenes aren't funny at all. However, I watch FG for those little moments that just make me laugh so hard I piss myself. |

Haha, that's true. You don't want to be friends with the guy quoting Family Guy. |

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.
South Park hands down. Family Guy is normally a miss for me. |
|
I like how South Park makes fun of current events. I don't like the setting though, 4 kids in a Colorado town. Family Guy has funnier jokes, but I like how both use obnoxious, vulgar humor. I like Family Guy better. |
|
I like the boondocks. |

Well shellyboof bishop isn't going to let you over-egg this pudding!
Definitely south park. Hands down. The writers are incredibly creative as they focus and make jokes about things that are really going on now such as the economy, HIV/AIDS, and shit like "high school musical 3" lol |

Man, I haven't watched either for a long time, but South Park was much more enjoyable to me. I was never bored watching South Park, while sometimes I got bored of Family Guy. South Park is a one of a kind show while there are a number of shows like Family Guy that are as good, if not better. |
|
Well, I think that south park is way more intelligent then family guy. Sure, family guy can have its moments, but its just random crap. South park on the other hand has jokes that refers to the plot, almost all the time. |

"What are you, a gangster? Get in that pool!"-Random DC of mine... don't ask.
