Thread: Google reversing it's policy on government asking for info

Twitter, Yahoo, Facebook all agreed to hand over personal info to the government without a warrant, but Google held a firm middle finger to them saying they wouldn't give out personal info without a search warrant. They seem to have reversed their stance on that:

ISP stands for Internet Service Provider. Doesn't have to be limited to providing the service of internet. And at times it seems like the US is very good at using laws in other ways than they were intended.

Internet Service Provider doesn't mean a provider of the service called internet?

Which was my point. We really should just call it "Internet Provider" or "Internet Access Provider" or some such, that's much less ambiguous.

Not to mention they shouldn't cooperate with law enforcement without due process.
