Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Wednesday, claiming that it was targeted at terrorists in Gaza, killing the chief of Hamas' military wing, Ahmed Jabari and at least eight others. Over 100 rockets have been fired into Israel since then; the majority were repelled by Israel's Iron dome: Spoiler for Iron Dome: Israel then targeted over 200 sites last night in the Gaza Strip in retaliation. Just earlier today another 60 or so rockets were fired into Israel. Every hour the death toll increases and more people are made homeless. Right now it just looks like a show of which side has more firepower, and each side is trying to intimidate the other to back down. They aren't achieving anything by keeping this up.
