I replied to the question " What Do You Dislike About the US? "

I did not reply to the question " What do you dislike about the UK " or "What do you dislike about the world governments"
If they had been the questions, I would have replied in a similar fashion.

I am not putting forward an accusition, I am putting forward a fact that many agree with.
"However" if you do not agree with my comments, then they are mindless banter, and the facts are just opinion, and probably false.

Perhaps a little more thought before people put their thought down into words, and a little more thought when reading would help.
      Consider these two statements:

      1. British people have sex with farm animals.
      2. Two British farmers got caught having sex with their animals.

Is one of those statements less offensive than the other?
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

I do agree with the point of view you are putting forward.
It is all in the way the statement is worded.

And by the way, What is wrong with British people having sex with animals ?

Hey, as long as the animals don't mind, then it's no worse than backwoods American hillbillies doing it!!

A nation of free speech welcomes dissent. Unfortunately as Noam Chomsky has pointed out, the establishment has become exceedingly skilled at manufacturing consent. Expressing dissent is absolutely essential to the survival of our republic. Otherwise we risk dipping into fascism, which has already begun.
I find it is typically those of mainstream political pursuasion that can't stomach the criticism they hear poimted at their own country. Something about admitting a fault just isn't popular, who knew? There is no way to improve something if you don't know what there is to be improved.

The fact that the U.S is built around personal and corporate freedom is simultaneously its greatest strength and its greatest peril. Freedom is a high virtue, a stepping stone towards unconditional love. Such an environment of freedom has unfortunately allowed networks of individuals to amass enormous amounts of financial power, who are now in the process of attempting to covertly take over the country. A free society is in many ways a power vacuum, only with a few legal and governmental structures in place which slow the time it takes for those who love control to take control.

The solution? Awareness of negativity is to be balanced with action towards positivity. Research, discuss, expose those who wish to remove freedoms - however more focus should be put on one's own love of freedom. Take action towards love and freewill in whatever way is unique to you. Only when a critical mass of the population is focused on love will it be reflected into the macrocosm of the government.

The legal drinking age and the number of fat people. There's plenty to love about the US though! Like Buffalo Wings and the Grand Canyon and freedom.

Now that was a reply worth agreeing with.

Are you saying "All" American hillbillies are doing it, or just some.

I have to get out of this thread, I am going mad.

      the obsession with money

i also think a lot of kids (well at least where i live) glamorize the gang life and look up to gangs as potential role models. (the obsession for power i guess)

All the people who are easily swayed by religious and political ideology who are running us into the ground in the name of altruism.

157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

I forgot, I also dislike all the people making themselves out to be victims.

Everything is based off of time and the need to save as much time as possible. You know, for a rainy day or something.

      Nah.

Whenever I'm waiting for an appointment (for whatever reason), and someone's late, I start to feel anxious. Even five minutes after the time of the appointment.

My Sociology teacher told us about how our society differs from those in Brazil. Apparently, most other nations have very lenient deadlines when it comes to time. In Brazil, people often come into class 10+ minutes late and nobody bats an eyelash. I was late for Econ by a good three or four seconds and was scolded by my teacher. I wonder how much of our desire for saving time comes from the idea that everything is also based on a value, and the more you work, the more money you have, so the more valuable you are.
