Thread: Males Vs Females

I just wanted to make it clear (because I thought it might be construed another way as an afterthought) that I think it's total crap when girls take advantage of "being girls" to do whatever they want. I DO think that hitting is wrong.

I've came to the conclusion that, women recieve more empathy than men. Simply becuase women are seen as physically weaker and emotionally sensitive. Just as a person would have more simpathy for a child, or an elder, than a fully functional and healthy man. It's simply, sympathy for the weaker.

it would take more from a girl than a boy to get me mad enough to hit them, but i WILL hit them if enough happens.

You would never hit a person in self defense?

:: I should have totally made myself clear. What I meant was that hitting just because you're mad and want to use someone as a punching bag is ALWAYS wrong. Hitting back in self defense isn't the greatest IF you have the ability to walk/run away. (If you don't have the ability, then hitting to get away is fine, of course&#33 It's also wrong to hit someone just because you know they won't do anything if you do. And I don't like hitting "joking style", either.

That's a stance that I completely understand and largely agree with. Thanks for clearing that up.

And yes! If a girls is sitting there punching you in the face or what have you, your reflexes are probably gonna kick in. It's natural to defend yourself.I'd say to go ahead and at least try to use the least amount of force needed to get them to stop. That goes for male and female. Now if she was giving a little flirty/friendly punch not intending on hurting you, but acidentally did then give her a break. I'm sure you will know the difference. And btw, if you don't like hitting "joking style" at least give the other person fair warning that you don't like it and you will consider retaliation the next time it is done. You do have to take in to consideration that lots of the joking kind of hitting is just a habit for some people and might be hard for them to stop, especially if all the other people the person knows are excepting of it and don't mind it. In my opinion though, it's just flirting.

i'd probably tend to push them away then hit them if its possible. If they are pissing you off then a very aggresive glare with a push should be enough to make them change their minds.

Unfortunatly its in our natural instincts to protect women( this was also mentioned in that frontline topic) and so i can't help but feel really guilty if i get into an altercation with a female, even if its their fault.
