This is from someone on another forum, but the debate subject is clear.

A few weeks ago I was in a room with about 40 people. I was talking to a friend, and one thing led to another.

The friend hit me.
I hit the friend back.

It was all over and none of the 40 people noticed.

All hell broke loose, and I am now the most hated of all the people present i that room.

Why? Because the first two times, the friend was a guy. The third, it was a girl.

Is this sexism, or what? If someone hits me, I have a right to defend myself, whether it is actual fighting or a friendly situation as described. Why should the other person's gender matter?[/b]
