Thread: Are we all going to die in 2012?

I'm extremely worried, I read a thread about Area 51, and then a chain starte happaning on YouTube:

Right ok, I think YouTube got me, I got so addicted, I watched something I shoudn't of.

Are we all going to die in 2012? Five years left?

Let me pose a question to you, JD...

What if this IS real? How would that change the way you live?

The bottom line is that none of us knows if we are even going to be here a few hours from now, let alone in five years. Wasting what time we have worrying about it is... well... a waste. What's the point?

Enjoy the moment, my friend. In the end analysis, this is all you've really got. Squeeze everything you can out of every moment and then you won't have time to worry about it.

By the way... I don't believe it. The eminent end of humanity has been predicted over and over again throughout history. The record for accurate end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it predictions is...

ZERO.

Aye, hahah, the one thing we know for a fact about the end of the world is...that all predictions of it have been false.

I don't know. I guess I'll just wait and find out. It wouldn't change my lifestyle if it was true, so it doesn't really matter besides the fact that I don't really want to die by the age 23... I was hoping for 40 or so.

Nobody knows itf it's true or not, so why ask??? You just have to wait and find out.

And how do you know that? I'm sure every possible scenario has been predicted. Lol.

although it is inevitable that the world will end, it's just a matter of when. But I would bet it would not be in your lifetime, so I wouldn't worry about it

Aye, I meant "have been false so far". About those from the past. We're all still here, heh.

What about these 'Mayan' people, they're perfect, right? It's like He-Man, they are the masters of the universe.

Well, i'm certainly gonna keep my eye on it and try to schedule a trip far inland on that date, but , yeah, it could just as well turn out be a big 'ol NADA. Guess we'll find out. however I wanna share something with y'all, and please dont take it the wrong way.

Most rligions of the world believe in doomsday, apocalypse, etc., whatever. I've studied Islam quite extensively,and they, too believe in an apocalypse. They believe that the anti-christ (who they call Dajjal) will come, and that Jesus -who they believe was a prophet of God-will descend and kill Dajjal. Prior to this a man named Muhammad bin(son of) Abdullah will arise. His coming was propesied by the Prophet Muhammad-who's father was also named Abdullah,and from whom this man shall be descended. Cant remember what his role is to be, but he will be known as Imam (reverend/priest/whatever) al-Mahdi (dunno meaning). He become known at age 40 ,and will hence forth take on his destined role.

I know a Saudi man who has a cousin who can interpret dreams-in a psychic way, mind you. I believe he's the real deal, cuz I had this man have his cousin interpret a dream for me, and he told me something about myself, that he couldn't have known. Anyway I was told that his cousin discovered from someone's dream that al-Mahdi has already been born, and is 28 years old currently. If this is true...well...makes ya wonder. He'll be 33 by dec. 2012. 33 seems to be one of those 'magic' numbers that crop up in Islam, too, but I'm probably overdoing it a bit, loool. Interesting though. *off to go study more religions*
