Only idiots drink bottled watter, the same people who don't get their children MMR vaccine because they think it gives people autism. Anyway, most bottled water is just tap water in a bottle, check to see if the bottled has municipal source on it.

I remeber the Penn and Teller episode that debunked most of the myths of bottled water, like it being more healthy. Its kind of like the organic thing, which is rubbish.

And I drink Ice Mountain Natural Spring Water. It's not just bottled water. I've been to their website. I've checked out everything in their water. So get a clue before trying to tell me I'm just drinking filtered tap water.

One word: Informed.

The whole problem is most of you don't understand how chemicals work and then you read articles telling you the whole world has been dumbed down by fluoridation. Without being able to give me a decent mechanism for how this works, I'm going to call bullshit.

Adam you never explained how a multitude of nobel prize winning doctors of medicine and the like think there is more than enough concern to warrant further study before we blindly fluoridate water...

Do you consider yourself more informed than those professionals speaking out about it? I would like to think not.

Obviously, you clearly polarized yourself in camp of not showing concern. That's your prerogative but don't spout your side as having more experience and knowledge to label those that show concern as ignorant to the science or studies behind it. That rash assumption in itself is ignorant to make. If a professional of the industry is going to say there is something worth showing concern, I'd rather take their word on it than some random internet persona with an ego who studies chemistry in school...

I'm not going to be apologetic for the fact that I know what I'm talking about. Like you say, I was mostly pointing out my own view on the topic and I believe we both came to a decent conclusion - you were presenting the concern of professionals you'd found, I was working on a strong knowledge of chemistry and biology. To tell me that my knowledge is not valuable would be rash, because I'm receiving the same education as the people you have quoted.
My point was attacking people who were dragging down your argument by adding unfounded opinions, and hence, stupidity.

And with that, I'll let them stay uninformed and hopefully never have to deal with anyone so ignorant.

I never asked you apologize I asked you explain how you think yourself better than people already considered professionals of the industry. Of which, you have yet to explain why I should value your opinion over someone else's who has been practicing medicine or toxicology, and most likely has a vast knowledge of chemicals far superior to you... a student of chemistry...

Let me know when you become a Nobel Prize winner or a Senior Toxicologist for the EPA... then we'll talk...

Thanks for the usual sarcasm WL.

But even if most bottled water is just filtered tap water, at least its filtered, which usually means it has all of the impurities in tap water that they make the home water filtration systems found in every store for.

The best option is finding somewhere that sells reverse osmosis filtered water and bringing your own glass jugs, or getting a reverse osmosis filter.
