Seriously. I'd like to see him in office. I knwo it really can't happen. But it would be nice. I hate a two party system... |

I have a dream...
You're about 200 years too late. The US actually was a confederacy for about 20 years, it collapsed, as it would do now. And for those calling it a revolution, you can't have a revolution that's supported by .5% of the population. Civil rights and women suffrage were revolutions. |

Excuse me if I am way off here, but doesn't Bob Barr generally stand for what Ron Paul stands for (except in a less whiney tone of voice)? |

You are dreaming right now.
Ugh... UM it's like you go start trek conventions just to call the people around you losers. And then you say shit like "Isn't Captain Picard just like Captain Kurk, but a better actor?" |

Barr is imperfect (voting record isn't the most pretty) but I'd love to see him in office. |

Are you trying to be a master of dadaism or something? The Truly Senseless Thread is in Senseless Banter. The conversation you are trying to have with me should take place there. See you on the dance floor, Colonel Pumpkin Armadillo. |

The media tried to make Ron Paul look like Ross Perot to draw some association. He managed to replace Perot as the stereotype even though everything he says is spot on, so now people equate politicians with Ron Paul in order to draw the same association of failure. |

Are you willing to give up all those high-paying, low-risk government jobs? Are other Americans willing? Are postal workers going to allow themselves to be laid off? Are people on welfare going to be perfectly happy reentering the workforce? Are unions going to be willing to disband? Will you feel safe with a military of a few thousand troops? |

Lol, not really. I already told you, it was 1/3 For, 1/3 Against, and 1/3 apathetic. |

They did fight. Remember the battle of Kings Mountain? (even though they were totally pwned) |

Except, that was a revolution against an overseas government that had very little time to prepare, and not much better military technology than the average citizen. Now we have an entrenched behemoth of a government with stockpiles of anti-civilian armaments waiting for anyone to step up. I'm not saying it can't happen; it will just take more than 4%. |
