Thanks, but I thought the conversation was funny for a little while. Then Xei turned it into a serious argument, and I was pretty much telling him that if he wants to play the game, then I am going to play it back. I don't lose any sleep over Europeans who have an attitude against the U.S., but I will be glad to make fun of them when they express it. Really, I think shit talking matches about countries can be hilarious.

The only problem has been that UM thinks 'the USA is not the best place in the entire world' is a provocative statement. He still doesn't get it. I'm saying all of this because I'm hugely jealous of all the shiny things and deep cultural history and pointless nuclear weapons and creativity and research and enterprise over there that don't exist anywhere else in the world.

Look up who has the biggest selling entertainment industry in the world and what country has the most cultural influence, as if you don't already know. It's not that hard, even if some Eurpean dipshits will laugh at what actually is factual. You started this shit with "WTF America" and talked about how child beauty pageants are only an American phenomenon and so forth. Your prejudice shined through. We do lead the world in business and technology, and Google is your friend. Good luck with your easy research expedition.

Just keep saying it and it'll be true. Obviously living in Europe has given me nowhere near your knowledge of how fundamentally the US has altered our culture. What would we ever do without those movies about exploding cars? All of my favourite albums will be wiped out of existence! No philosophy, no literature... and life without American cuisine? I don't think I could take it.

Child pageants originated in the USA and are almost entirely held there btw. Both of the foreigners in this thread had never heard of them. Again, not prejudice: reality.
