I have a hard time trying to exercise. I always think to myself "This is my year. I can lose the 150 pounds by 2012 if I could try!" |

Stop thinking of ways to motivate yourself and go do it. Find someone else to go with you. If it is turned into a sort of appointment, it makes it feel required. Someone else expecting to see you at the gym really helps. |

Rawr!
Exercise can be a pain sometimes, I understand this very well. Also exercise can be one of the most fascinating on the world. It's all about the mind set and that is probably the most important factor to get set in. It's the first couple of weeks or first month that is the pain, but once you get over that hump and start seeing your body change in the way that you want it to change you'll be hooked. I have been working out since my freshmen year in college and I'm now a junior. Just seeing old friends and hearing them say dang you're a lot more muscular than I remember just adds on to the motivation. Once you get over the hump its smooth sailing because of the results and gratification that you'll get from the exercise. |

The best thing to do is to do something so enjoyable that you don't think it's a chore anymore. |
|
Just do it. It's that simple, you either want to do it or you don't. |

For me? Music music music and more music. |

Charles Darwin's theory of evolution and adaptation is that over many generations, creatures adapt to their environments. Creatures who fail to do this cannot breed. |

If today is today, then what was yesterday's last week's yesterday's next week's day after tomorrow?
If you rely on willpower, it won't work in the long run. Therefore, exercise has to be made up of activities that you actually enjoy. Some things you might need to give some time, but if you feel that you're just forcing yourself to do something for long periods of time... stop and find something else. I'd like to think that everyone loves to move, if they just find something that suits them. |

Nice thread. After the eating season, now I'm ready to lose 'em all! |

Find a pre-workout supplement that tastes good and doesn't give you a heart attack. |
