Can't control myself

Hi guys! New to this website just registered today. Now for the past few years I have been having problems in my dreams with controlling my body. I can still think in my mind (which is often "what is happenin to me!) but my body is out of control. It feels like falling over or being pushed down and not being able to stop it. It often wakes me up and always seems to be when sleeping on my back or side. If anyone has had anything similar happen or know of any way I can stop this I would appreciate any comment. Sounds like a Hypnic Jerk (Also known as a Hypnagogic Jerk) I haven't had one in a while, but it is often describe as a falling sensation ending with a sudden jolt or shock. Usually a dream will incorporate it or accompany it, usually involving falling in some way. No real way to stop it. It tends to happen regularly during the night in small instances often unfelt consciously. If the conscious 'sudden awakening' is happening more often than a couple times a month, it may signify that you're not getting enough sleep.
