Dreams that feel great and you wish are reality but then they are not reality

Is this a common thing for people to be in a dream and something awesome happens and you think you're actually in real life but then you wake up and you realize it didn't happen and you feel really disapointed.

      I've had plenty of those.

One example is when i found 20, 50, 100 dollar bills, tons of them in between bushes and i was picking them up and collecting them.

The second example is when i meet girls and we become friends or BF/GF. Again disapointed because it actually didn't happen in reality.

Do these kind of dreams have a name? It's not being Lucid i'm guessing.
Or are these just regular dreams?

Well they feel great but it sucks it's not real.

They are not lucid unless you are aware you are dreaming in them.

I would just say it is a regular dream??? I do not think there is a name for it. But I think it happens to all of us sometimes. It has happened to me plenty when I have some amazing dream where I get my dream job or dream relationship then wake up and end up in a slightly bad mood for about ten minutes in the morning.

And one then i was taking questions from girls and one of them said "are you single?" wow. i felt it was real life... and WAKE!!! it wasn't

It's amazing how real it can feel sometimes isn't it? Especially when you wake up and it takes a minute or so to even realize it was a dream and not something that happened yesterday.

I usually have it the other way around, that I find myself relieved to know that it was just a dream.

Can't really recall a dream that was so good, that I was disappointed that it wasn't real...

I've had dreams where I get a game, DVD, or book that hasn't been released yet or has been out-of-print for years. I was always sad when I woke up to realize I had been dreaming and didn't actually have it in my possession.

Often enough; this sort of thing is not uncommon at all.

I'll be frank, more often than not the content is in some way sexual

There's not any name for it, however, that I'm aware of.

      Heh, funny how it works.

Have the best dream in the world, wake up grumpy.
Have the worst dream in the world, wake up happy and relieved.

I have had plenty of what you are mentioning, I used to have lots of them when I was younger and can fully relate. What I learned to do, is when you wake up, don't think of it as, "Darn... I wish that was true..." but rather, "That was a great experience! Perhaps I can have another." and you will notice it acts as a great boost in the morning. When you think back on it, just keep thinking of how pleasant it was, not how bummed you are.

So... to put it simply and rather tactless, stop feeling sorry for yourself and be happy you had the experience at all.

The last dream I felt a bit sad about was about this: I am traveling with a friend though southern England by car. Well, we talk about that it is England. And let's not argue about London being about 350Miles from may place, not even taking the British Channel into account. We talk about how nice this place is, as we drive through a small town, with very, very nice hoses made from bricks. And we talk like 'Well, this is nice.' 'Year, and so close, we got here in half an hour'. 'Yes, I could live here, I mean how far can London be away from here?# 'Uhh...I might even get a job here an commute every day' 'Sure, it's so close to our place'.

The absurdity how my friend and I tought this place being just around the corner made me laugh when I got up. Bit I really miss this nice little southern English town, which I wish I coul live in, or commute to ever morning for work....because it's so near by.

      Regards
      Lorgarn
      Come, thick night,
And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell,
That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,
Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark,
      To cry, 'Hold, hold!'

Yeah, when I have heart felt moments with the girl I blew it with. That is a recurring dream by the way...

This song is how I feel, you don't have to listen to it if you don't want to. Just read the lyrics.

If there were no lyrics I wouldn't be able to understand what he is saying.
