Talking Zombie Discussion: Zombie dream experiences.

Zombie dreams are natural for me. I always react positively and fight back. Guns and weapons are always available, doors are never locked and the zombies are usually a little slower than me. I want to hear other people's experiences with zombies. I want to know your reaction, your usual weapon you have, gore intensity, the zombies' overall intelligence, and how your zombie dream's surroundings look.

      Discussion NOW!!!

I'll recall this as best as I can.

I had a zombie dream where me and a group of people were running from a massive horde of fast movers. We closed a tall fenced gate but a few zombies got over. I shot a couple of them but one didn't die. I went over to give him another blast from my 12 gauge but he spoke. It scared me so badly and still haunts me. He wailed something along the lines of "let me live don't shoot me" I looked into his eyes and saw his pain. I let him leave and he limped away.

Do you have Zombie Dreams often? You seemed to react without fear and not to mention you had guns.

I can only recall two zombie dreams. I'm almost never scared in my dreams as well. For the gun I'm not sure how or where I got it from. I think it was a SPAS 12 gauge. Either that or some kind of Remington.

In my dreams when I need a gun I usually just produce one. Recently I was being shot at and then suddenly I had an AK-74 over my shoulder.

When I started playing Left 4 Dead 2 I was dreaming about zombies every night for about a week. They weren't exactly the same as in the game, but sort of. Some were scary, some weren't. Some were centered around a plot completely unrelated to zombies, but to get from one places to another we had to fight zombies along the way. I mostly used guns, but once I used a big knife, a machetty or however it's spelled, which I had never actually used in the game until after the dream.

Well, I've had many dreams involving zombies.

      - Some ghoul/zombie/similar ambushed me through glass in some kind of office building
      - Everyone got killed by zombies, then dream started from the beginning and it happened again, I kept failing to save people and it went faster and faster and started to hurt my head
      - Zombie Elvis bit me to finger and killed me
      - I shot a crowd of zombies with bazooka
      - Statues that were like zombies were after me, also some underground bone-fish-thingies and flying furniture
      - Zombies in a burning mansion, followed by two bears coming through doors

Might be more. (Added some I remembered.)

Nice. Shotguns and samurai swords are always what I start with in zombie dreams. The guns never have a full clip though.

Its odd how many dreams with zombies, I have a comrade with me and he dies unexpectedly which gives me an easy get away.

The more I play Nazi Zombies on Call of Duty Black Ops the more zombie dreams I get, but the guns are always on the walls and I have to kill zombies in order to buy the guns with points lol

What about Gore? As far as I remember, it is usually clean when I kill zombies. They aren't horrific or demonic, just people with red eyes, torn clothes, and a slight limp.

I had a dream that my friends and I were killing zombies and everytime I picked up a weapon, something really crappy happend to it. I picked up and AK47 went to shoot and a little note that said "I.O.U" popped out. Then I picked up a Sawed off shotgun went to shoot and another note came out that said "BOOM" (damn looney tunes) and then I picked up a katana and I went to swing it and it was a crappy dollar store nerf sword. My flesh was devoured soon after. That pissed me off.

That sounds frustrating... I had a zombie dream like that where I had to load my guns with packaged band-aids by shoving them directly into the chamber from the side. The guns shot bullets but we loaded band-aids. Epic Zombies in the style of a Video Game in a mansion - Dream Journals - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource

      I've had two zombie dreams.

I was lucid and remembered my zombie goal. I was looking into a crowd of people through a window and said "One of you is a zombie!" Suddenly people started screaming and running away from someone in the center. I was in a small building while all this was going on, and I heard beating on the door near me. It burst open and fast moving zombies came in. I forgot to summon a gun and tried running, but they were too fast. I started levitating off the ground but one jumped up and bit my leg. My vision got read, and in white letters the words "You are infected" popped up. I said "Drink cure!" and I automatically took out a vial of blue liquid and drank it, my vision was restored. Then I woke up.

The other one wasn't a lucid, but I was armed with a shotgun. I was in a field with a family of people I didn't know. There were some shacks in the distance and we decided to go near them. Zombies started coming out, they were slow but around 50+ of them. I left the family to die, ran into the shack, and slammed the door. There was one zombie inside, I shot his head and it exploded. I heard there moans from outside and they knocked the door down. They poured in the shack, and some were crawling on the ceiling. I tried to defend myself, but there were too many. I yelled "Wake up!" and I did just as one was about to kill me.

      I love zombie dreams

I had my first zombie dream not too long ago. I just ran, and later bashed one zombie in the head.

The dream that led up to my most recent lucid was about zombies. I was running from a pack of them, and I closed myself into a tiny room. I became lucid and blew them all up with an energy wave that exploded from my body

Then I had another dream about zombies a few nights later. I was running through a wild west town chasing down zombies with the grenade launcher from CoD - Black ops (China Lake). I got cornered inside a house and I was down on the ground. I wasn't afraid of dying, instead I was expecting "GAME OVER" to flash before me, but I squeezed off a round from the nade launcher at a pack of zombies blocking the door and managed to make it through to the outside.

Ohh fancy you mention this, I had one last night.

Well, kind of. They weren't typical slow, arms stretched out, moaning, flea bitten grey ones. They looked pretty normal until they attacked. Then they went fast, wildeyed and generally incredibly creepy. In the dream I thought they were zombies but I began to think of them as parasites because it was something that took over someone's body and turned them into an evil source of death

It was my brother and I against them. They used hidden, blank mirrors to transport from one place to another by walking through it. They used metal bats to attack. They also set traps for people and placed objects into people's homes to make them sick. I didn't fight in the dream, but my brother got one, tied it down and brutally tortured it my snapping and crushing its limbs, ending with it's head. No matter how creepy they were, the scene was so disturbing.

I don't know how they took ahold of someone, but I found out near the end that they'd leave a playing card (the gambling ones) behind where the person was last seen. The playing cards were evil. When I picked them up I could feel it wrapping itself around me.

      Creepy dream...

I also used to have dreams involving zombies or ghosts, just people who seem half dead.

One was a little boy sitting in my computer chair with a bluish hue to him, and as the chair spun around I realized something was terribly wrong and felt this intense fear and woke up.

In another, I walked into the washroom of my house and on a bench to the side there was a naked girl, 17-20 or so, also with a blue hue to her skin. She was dead in some way and moving a bit. It was some girl who had died and I had thought the body had been disposed of, but I felt this huge burden that I had to dispose of the body now. It was a strong feeling that I somehow can compare to that of not having started a huge assignment the day before it's due.

I've had a few more, and dreams involving dead people or animals I know usually have a zombie feel to them, that something isn't quite right, even though I don't consciously realize in the dream that they're supposed to be dead.

But these are all very different from the zombies I got from playing the zombie game.

Today I was shown this game called Amnesia- The Dark Descent. That game will twist your dreams to the max. This game is not exactly zombies, but it makes you fear for your life when you are alone. I like it, not loaded with gore and mutilated monsters, just fearful gameplay and the constant need to survive. Look up some gameplay footage on youtube if you are interested. High chance I will have some messed up dreams tonight!!! X_X

Just watched a trailer and read some of the comments and I don't think I'd be able to play that at all. It would give me major nightmares and to be honest I don't like the dark at all even if I'd just in bed.

But I can't help but watch more

It just looks like the kind of thing that would mind-fuck me. Dark, creepy music (music especially gets to me), old castles... You make me want to play it!

In some of the comments people were like "Wtf is scary about this" but I can imagine playing it alone in the dark, on edge waiting for something to find you and not knowing where the eff you're supposed to go.

I haven't played anything like Silent Hill, Dead Space etc but I've heard that they're scary. 'pparently this is way scarier...

I had lots of zombie dreams too, because they're one of my worst fears. They always wanted to eat me and looked insanely scary.
But last time I had a dream about zombies, it was a LD. So I confronted it, and it wasn't scary at all! Since then, I don't dream about them anymore. Happy.

Bravo! Facing your fear in a lucid dream is an amazing feeling.

I am downloading Amnesia tonight. It seems lots of people are excited to play this game and I'm wondering if I or someone else should start an Amnesia-The Dark Descent dream thread.

sometimes im in a haunted house ride at an abandoned amusement park, the ride breaks down, and i walk through to find that the zombies are real. usually they try to grab me, but dont chase, and i just walk through like it was a regular ride, but this time its actually scary. not all of them are zombies, usually ghouls or evil spirits. one time one chased me, it was slow and i was fast and used my non-lucid skills of fitting into really small places and doing some minor teleportation, but for some reason any time i looked back he was getting closer.

another time i was alone in a house i used to live in when i was little, and its pretty far up on a hill, surrounded by thick forest, and no neighbors. it was darker and creepier than irl, and i went to the bathroom, which was moldy and rusting in the dream. at the sink i heard small children crying. they were moaning in anguish from the sewers, then i heard a scream and it was silent. freaked out i went to a window, and saw zombies just clawing there way out of the mud, and walking to the house. i ran into the rooms to find a weapon, and came out with a shotgun and revolver. i ran out the door, trying to get away and avoid fighting for my life, but they followed, i turned around to shoot and woke up.

I just bought Amnesia - The Dark Descent on Steam for only $10. It's downloading. I've needed a new good game to play. I just hope it isn't so scary I won't be able to play it.
