I really like someone I met in a dream

I met this girl in a dream a while ago and I saw her again las night. It was the most fun I've had in months. We went on a date and we played in a sesame street merry go round sort of thing and it was hilarious. The thing is that I like her more than pretty much all real people I know. She's really cool.

      How bad can this be?

I don't think it's very bad at all.

It's actually quite natural to find women in dreams more attractive / interesting.
In waking life, if you meet a woman, you will always find negative aspects about her, because obviously, perfection doesn't exist.
In dreams however it can, because your subconscious can shape a DC perfectly to your desires.
It is also ridiculously easy to fall in love in dreams... there are no complications or anything, everything is simple and straightforward.

So no, I don't think that this is in any way unnatural or bad.
I guess that it could be if you get obsessed with her or something, but that sounds sort of unlikely.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

Oh, pfff. It's fine, don't worry about it! I have a recurring girl in my dreams, who has basically ventured in and out of my dreams since I was small. There's always that aspect of romance, it's normal. Actually, it's a perk, dream sex! woot woot! xD

I find it actually very common among dreamers that they find this alter ego/other half/perfect companion in dreams, lucidity just increases those chances. I have my own, a boy who has been in and out of my subconscious since I was small. Many people think of this kind of projection as Jung's anima/animus, essentially the perfect compliment to your own personality often personified by someone of the opposite sex. From what I can tell this kind of experience comes from the basic human need to feel completely understood and accepted, to connect to someone on a fundamental level. There is also a fairly strong following of people that looks at those DC's as the astral projection of your soul mate or "twin flame" finding and connecting with you in the dream realm.

I've experienced this before a few times, best feeling ever...only to wake up alone.
I usually still feel the lovey feeling for a few days, I've had a few really intense ones though
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

I wouldn't suggest this but personally I refrain from getting attached to DCs. I've been lucky so far to not have any recurring people in dreams other than people I actually know.

While I've not had this reoccur, there have been a couple of times where I've had dreams of the perfect guy. Flawless, unrealistically handsome guys with the best personalities. Oh so cuddly guys who also somehow found me perfect.

Then you wake up SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED!

Seems normal to me. I think a problem would arise only if you become obsessive about this dream character to the point it interferes with waking life.

Well if it happens again, become lucid and kill the other person. I think it would be a WAY interesting way to go. I mean seriously, I have no idea how the DC would react to a thing like that. You're in the middle of a perfect date and you just pull out an axe/gun/whateveryourpreferedweaponofchoiceis and murder them. It will also save you from all the fuzzy emotions upon awakening. If you experience any conscience nagging you, remember that it's just a dream.

What's wrong with mushy gooshy fuzzy emotions? To each his own, but I personally wouldn't kill a DC that resembled the perfect guy or the perfect friend. I thought this was a good thing!

It is a good thing. Enjoy it for a while, but then, when you maybe know that the dream is fading, kill them. I just would find it interesting.

Yeah I was a bit surprised as well. o_o
It seems that some people dislike waking up with these emotions? I don't really know.
I enjoy them quite a bit. Sure, it's a bit sad at first when you wake up,
but it leaves me with an overall positive feeling for the rest of the day.

I feeel soo good also. I've had quite a number of these types of dreams and I've never killed the other person. I just think it would be interesting and add a slightly comical aspect to it that might offset anything negative.
