      Memories within dreams

Lately I've noticed a funny thing in my dreams, they seem as if they are all connected. In all my dreams I can see heavy influences from real life but I never recall memories from my life, yet in nearly every dream I seem to talk to someone who mentions my previous dream, last night for example.

      Dream 3 days ago
I was in a huge mansion and had to solve loads of puzzles, everyone seemed to have a double personality and in the end all the clue's came together and Me and my friend realized we had to place a special object in a slot to open a chest.

      Dream yesterday
I was in a large cave which contained a graveyard a dungeon and a carnival, Before I decided to fight everyone in the cave I saw that same box on the wall. My friend says to me "hey remember how to open that?".

Its like some kind of alternate memory bank which is unlocked when I dream.

Events from your daily life seep into your dreams, it's why many people say dreams are just your brain sifting through information. Only a small portion (about 5%) or our daily routine is transferred into your dreams but it's enough to notice and make you stop and think. The fact that some of your memories of past dreams entering other dreams is probably the same case since after a dream ends it's only just a memory. The memories of the day appear in your dreams so why wouldn't some memories of dreams slip in there too? After all, you only know they were dreams since the logical part of your brain says it's so, so once you're asleep and that section of your brain is turned off what's the difference?
