How many dreams in 1 night?

I recorded in my DJ, 16 dreams last night, and I have memory of a couple I forgot.

I normally remember 5-8, this was EPIC!

Why so many? The night was the best sleep I've had in a long time (despite waking over 16 times to write in my DJ!)

They are all really long and detailed too, 1 was lucid and several had lucid themes.

So what's average? What's the most you had? Why did I have so many more last night?

They'll be in my DJ soon, I'm still writing them out! (Phew)

Is it actually possible to have more then 8 dreams in one night? ;o I thought people only have about 4-8 dreams per night though.

But 16 that's insane man!

The most dreams I recalled were about 7.

Thats what I thought. But these were clearly separate dreams, after each dream I draw a line under my DJ entry and go back to sleep, when I wake., I record the time with my phone's clock.

Wow that's very impressive. I don't have that many dreams myself but I am able to extend each of my lucid dreams for a long time.

I went to bed at 22.22pm and fell asleep quickly (within 10 minutes)

I got up for the day at 11.35

So just over 13 hours!

I could have slept longer too.

The only time where i ever remember that mutch dreams was when i slept for 24-26 hours. Depression sucked!

Maybe u where on a rem rebound aswell?

Yeah, I've slept that much, but before I kept a Dj so I don't remember if I dreamt that much!

I doubt it was REM rebound, I have had plenty sleep the last few nights with several remembered dreams.

The average person has 5-7 dreams a night, but it varies. Some nights a person can have 16, like you did..others just two. I think it all depends on how long you sleep.
