Strange sounds when I woke up

I woke up by the phone ringing and I had one of them things where it goes into my dream and I don't realize it is the actual phone. after a couple of seconds i realized so i got up, put a shirt on but while I was doing that.. i could howling/crying. Sounded like someone was dying.. It was really creepy. It stopped by the time I got out of my room and to the phone..

Could of this been auditory hallucinations from where I just came out of a dream?
If so, has anyone else had something similar happen to them?

It could be that hallucinations or just some noisy dogs

It's a fairly common thing to happen when you're abruptly pulled out of a dream. It's happen a few times to me, but all I got was a slight ringing in my ears.

      ^^

Stuff like that has happened to me a few times. My dream fades into real life. I wake up and see spiders (that aren't real) at least once a month.

It's definitely a commonly reported issue. Many people experience this, even people who have never heard of lucid dreaming. It's a normal phenomenon of waking up.

Of course, in my neighborhood, it probably would have been real dogs. Stupid neighbor and his crazy-barking dogs.

I just experienced that today, thought that was because the sleep paralysis didn't wear off totaly at the point when I woke up.

This morning I woke up from a dream in my childhood home. I thought I could hear the muffled sound (earplugs) of my parents telling me to quiet down as I was yelling something in the dream before waking up. As I struggled to unplug my ears to hear my parents I realize I'm actually in my own house now. Wile this realization is happening I hear a faint but distinct evil voice whispering something. It kept going until I took a look around my room. This all happened between me questioning waking up in my childhood bed and realizing I'm at home.
