High Temperature - Weird experience

Hello,

I have been suffering with stomach flu the last day or so and am suffering with high temperatures and lots of sweating etc.

Last night, I was resting in bed and my wife was downstairs, I suddenly woke up in a terrible sweat and felt something I have not felt in years.

It was a feeling of intense dread - I cannot explain it properly, its as if time/reality was moving really slowly, slow beyond belief, apparently I was screaming and I was saying that there was not enough water left for me and that I was gonna die. I had this feeling that my body was being surrounded, around all my skin, like suffocation - I could visualize some kind of shape that was coming towards me and making a deafening noise that was so quiet is was horrifically scary!!

Anyone else had anything like this happen?

everytime i have something of this nature happen i hear a rushing water type of noise in my ears that freaks me out, so i sort of know what youre talking about. i can also relate to the dying thing 100 percent.

While you were experiencing this, could you move your body? It might be sleep paralysis. Or if not, it could be hypnopompic hallucinations – hallucinations we sometimes get upon waking up. Which is opposite to hypnagogic hallucinations which we get when we are falling asleep. These hallucinations can take form visually, or auditorily, or pretty much all senses. Rest assured it is all in your mind, and it cannot harm you in reality.

its crazy you mentioned the not being able to move your body thing, because that EXACT thing happens to me as well. And no one; my girlfriend, mother, or any siblings, or friends believe me!
