you should never use your dreams as an escape from reality.... this will only cause you disappointment. the dream world is not the real world and the only way to get over this is to learn to accept that. |

I've been using my dream world as an escape from the real world but for the past few nights my dreams have been about my ex. I love him dearly and we are broken up at the moment. It's been a very painful thing for me because we still see each other frequently in class every other day. He keeps appearing in my dreams and it's nothing bad at all but when I wake up I'm sad because I know it's just a dream and the things in my dreams aren't really happening. What to do? |

The first step to making a dream come true is to wake up!
While I completely agree with minilee, you probably think about him, the breakup, etc. You need to get him off of your mind if don't want to have dreams about him. I would suggest meditating, I do it every night before bed and works great for clearing your mind and inducing lucids! Just try it look up some techniques you think you could do, trust me it helps a ton! |

Up on Melancholy Hill
There's a plastic tree
Are you here with me?
Just looking out on the day of another dream
Sorry to say, but we all have some painful things we would rather not be reminded of in dreams. But what's in your mind it's gonna be reflected in your dreams. Best advice would be to make peace with your waking life situation so it doesn't bother you that much. But even then, your ex is part of your life and as such will most likely permamently be in your dreams. |
