is it possible to create a dream??? (not LUCID)

i am not asking about lucid dream...i want to create a dream but i dont want to control and i no need to know that i am dreaming
i just want to set my dream before iam going to sleep (for example if i want to fly in my dreams or want to time travel in my dreams means i just create a scenerio about that before going to sleep .. and in my dream i want that scenerio but i no need to know that iam dreaming) can u catch my point...is it possible????

What I've done in the past is make a list of cool things I'd like to do in dreams and stay open to the possibility that they'll happen in dreams soon and some of them sometimes do. It's quite amazing how much control and how eventful the dreams can be without actually realising it's a dream.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

Yeah pretty sure you can do that, I've done that before but not realised its a dream, realising you're in a dream is when you realise that it's lucid

Without it being lucid, I'm not sure how directly one could make a particular dream happen. Dreams are influenced from day to day life though, so focusing on what you want to dream about can influence probably in the direction you want. Try visualizing and writing down dream goals and focusing on them intently as you go to sleep. I'm sure this would work to some extent to influence your dreams in the desired direction.

Yes you can induce dreams by holding on to those thoughts for the whole day and practically before you sleep. I think mantra before sleeping helps too. You might be able to dream what you want but you wouldn't be able to dream up a dream exactly you want.

I think some non-lucid dreams can have a quality that could get lost if the dream becomes a lucid one.

Agree on that. I feel that the moment lucidity comes in for me, the dream loses its great storyline.

You don't lose the great storyline, you take control of it! instead of having someone read the book to you, you're writing it.

I did this the other night. I was setting my lucid goal before bed and it occurred in a non lucid.

I'm very bad at writing story I must say.

However the advantage of lucidity for me is, I get to experiment things that I usually wouldn't think/dare of doing in my non-lucid.
