Hi, real new here and to all the dream word lingo. I used to have dreams as a kid that i'd be struggling to turn the light on in my dark bedroom at night. I would start getting incredibly angry because I couldn't turn the light on. After a few moments, i'd come to reality and realize i was on the complete opposite side of my bedroom as the light switch. Would that be considered as sleep walking, since i was kind of aware of what was going on? I also sometimes have nights where i'll wake up and be frozen in fear because there is a zombie or killer in my room. I can only move my eyes and neck. It is really scary as it seems so real and shadows appear to be moving on the wall. I then sort of come to reality and realize that i just woke up and nothing is happening. Is this considered sleep paralysis? |

With the light thing, I can't really be sure. It is possible that you changed positions in the bed in between sleep cycles. We all naturally wake up after every sleep cycle, we just never remember. Usually, people roll over or something during that time. So maybe you rolled over in between sleep cycles and your body somehow registered your location and you dreamt about it? Just an idea though. |

seems perfectly logical for the "paralysis" question! As for the light, it is not a dream. I would be flinging my hands against the wall looking for the lightswitch only to finally come to and realize i was on the completely opposite side of my room where the switch actually was. |
