      Talking in my sleep!

Well according to my family I talk in my sleep and apparently its quite bad.
I feel scared to go to sleep when in the same room as someone else because of what I might say,
What if i blurted out my inner secrets that no one but myself knows, It scares me so much, I hate it.

Its normally a very loud shouting outburst, like a swear word being shouted or something bad happening and me being angry I would be stressed, Its very rare for me to ever get that angry in real life but when I'm asleep its a different story.
Sometimes its just gibberish or a normal spoken sentence.

I feel quite alone with this problem and I need answers.
I want to know is this a rare commodity and how can I stop this happening?

I don't think it is so rare. I used to talk in my sleep a lot. When you become more aware you may be able to avoid this. I have known people that you could literally stand there and talk to them while they were sleeping for 10 minutes. This only shows a major lack of awareness in my opinion which can be fixed with practice.

When you begin to use your physical body like that it is easier to become aware. This is theory only, as I don't talk in my sleep anymore so I can't say for sure, but I used to sleep walk as well as sleep talk. Wouldn't dream of it now. Sometimes during non-lucids I wonder whether I am speaking out loud; as I often have a semi-awareness to begin with. It sounds strange, I know. I don't understand it myself, but I am the type that goes for a weapon if I hear something out of the ordinary while I am sleeping, so that may have something to do with it.

Oh boy, I'm like this a lot.

I know because my mom tells me and my twin brother is crazy with it. He blabs and blabs so much I can't fall asleep. Anyways, there was also this one funny time where he was talking and I told him to stop and then he talked back. In his sleep? I dunno.

So yes, it isn't rare, its about as common as snoring in my mind. I'm not sure how to stop it, but at least you know it isn't rare.

      Sweet dreams.

I have this problem too, but it's not every day. The interesting thing is that my mom says I shout out loud "kill him!, he's behind you, nigga got owned" and stuff like that ( this is what i usually say playing modern warfare) but the strange thing is, i cannot recall any dream where i would have said this.
So basically I speak about things I can't recall dreaming of the next day, it's like if I had an extra secret dream that I wasn't aware of.

Yes mine are exactly like this, my last outburst was "MUSE IS FULL, MUSE IS FULL" they are a band I had already got tickets for. To have not got a ticket I would have probably cried .

I wouldn't feel too worried,, even if you did blurt out a secret that you have in real life no one would be able to determine whether what you said had any basis in reality or was simply the ramblings of an incoherent individual having a very weird dream.
Confessions made while unconscious may take the cake as the most unreliable form of confession in the history of confessions.

My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)
