Does anyone else sometimes find it really hard to wake up from their dreams?

Often, whether I'm Lucid dreaming or general dreaming I can't wake up from a dream that I really want to.

I try pinching myself but nothing works. Sometimes it's frightening because I feel like I'll never wake!

      Does anyone have any tips?

Nothing you do with your dream body will have much effect. Instead reach out with your awareness knowing you have a real body also. It is a subtle thing but you can find a sense of your actual body. Then just picture and intend the movement of your actual body. Normally just kicking out one leg or trying to turn over in bed will be enough to make you wake up.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

In lucid dreams for some reason if I close my eyes I'll wake up. I agree about awareness of your body though. In particularly light sleep I could feel my body like I was in two places at once, with reality tugging me to come back (and I wasn't ready yet) and I'm sure I could have woken up on command if I wanted to. I had a nightmare once that was pretty rough, at the end of it I was running down a street slapping myself in the face saying "This has to be a dream, wake up wake up!" lol. I'm not sure if that woke me up or just the mental stress the dream was causing me at that point.

Also last night I had a lucid dream (in my DJ) and when I put my finger through my palm which I've never done before, it hurt and I woke up. Can't explain that one. I did it twice and the first time I THINK I woke up but I managed to go right back to sleep and continue the dream, the second time I did it I was just awake.
