      A way to stop (lucid)dreaming

I'm a very frequent lucid dreamer, I love dreaming, but a few months ago, something I did temporarily disabled my ability to lucid dream.

This worked for my, I don't know if it will work for others, but if it does, it can help those who have nightmares.

Near end of 2013, I started to drink a cup of warm milk before I went to bed, it's said to improve sleep quality, and it did, but it also temporarily disabled my lucid dreaming.

I kept up this warm milk drinking before bed up for about 2 weeks, strangely I noticed that I wasn't having memorable lucid dreams anymore(barely any dreaming at all), for the good of my dreaming(LOL), I gave up this warm milk drinking, but for the next 2 or 3 months, I didn't seem to have any lucid dreams(barely any at all).

So it seems that warm milk before bed is the poison that temporarily disabled lucid dreaming! (at least for me)

After that 2/3 month phase, I'm back dreaming again, still got the moves, good dreams, same as old times.

Anyone here have a habit of drinking warm milk before bed? Tell me more?

After a quik research I found out that milk actually makes the REM-cycles longer, which sounds like the opposite of what you're saying...
If you read this do a reality check, you will thank me later...

Drinking milk seems to make my sleep quality better (I wake up more refreshed), I suppose its weird that I tend to dream more if I don't sleep as well :S
