Unless you have a medical reason, like a vitamin deficiency and you discussed with a doctor, you shouldn't take it. I know that vitamins are not drugs, but I was once obsessed with becoming lucid that I bought, something called Choline Bitartrate. I found that it contain ingredients that can cause cancer. I even had to get it online from Walgreen because of that reason. The pharmacists didn't even know about it. After talking to him on the benefits that it promises, such as memory and concentration, he told me he wouldn't recommend taking a risky drug. I asked him if he recommends any vitamins to take. The pharmacist told me "Honestly no! I don't recommend any vitamins or pills" and he told me to just exercise (run) and eat healthy.
I believe it has nothing to do with the vitamins, it is a placebo effect. I do not know if the banana will give you the desired affect, it might. I am just telling you my opinion and what the pharmacists told me.
