Thread: Sleep Deprived Me

yea so i cant remember the last time i remembered a dream!
i get less than 5 hours of sleep every day.
this sux

5 hours ain't good, I think the best amount is between 7-9 hours.

Same for me, I don't get enough sleep at night, only around 6 hours usually, and can't sleep myself out on the weekends, becouse I work.
Man, it's hard to concentrate when you are sleepy
But I won't give up, no matter how hard it is!

For some people 5 h is enough. Napoleon is said to have slept only 4 h a night.

Hmm...so why do you get so little sleep?

is your routine all messed up?

routine? there is no routine any more.
i just have so much other things that i have to do work school studying ect

hmm...obviously work and school are set times...but maybe you could timetable your studying in such a way that you at least get to bed at a reasonable hour.

I have some questions.

What sort of job do you do, is it shift work? I work shifts, and i know how it can muck your routine up.
Do you work every day after school?

i work at pizza hut i usually work wednesdays 5-8 thursdays from 5-1130 fridays 6pm-1am saturdays 5-10 and mondays 5-10

For me it take a lot of concentration, so if im tired i dont even try it, it feels like it takes all your energy to do this.

i figured it out... Get a new job, pizza hut is no career. C'mon you had to have seen that coming.

You should quit that job, the hours are bad and you're probably getting paid badly. Do you even have time to study?

How can you even work so much when being a student at the same time? I mean at which point do you live YOUR life ?

I remember working my ass off in high school too - at a video store. I'd get up, be at school by 7:30am, got done at 2pm, had 3 hours of basketball practice, go straight to work and worked until midnight, go home, and do it all again. If I wanted a car and other things, I had to work. Some people don't get everything handed to them and have to be self-sufficient.

Don't quit your job unless you really want/need to. It may be crappy hours and pay, but hey - that's high school work.

I'm with Burns, sometimes you need to do some work, if you want something in life
And if you work and study, you won't be lazy... of course exept me, I work study and I'm the laziest bugger around
Ok, so for me I should stop playing soo much and start sleeping more

P.S.: I'm lucky with my work, I'm working in an animation studio

i cant afford to quit. i was thinking about not working next semester but i just have to .. right now im getting paid 6.15 to pretty much do nothing. its not that hard of a job. co workers bitch and moan alot but i just think whatever its not a big deal.


i also found out why i was so depressed its due to lack of sleep. if i get less than 4-5 hours of sleep i feel useless and depressed but if i get 6-10 im fine and full of energy. but more than 10 im just even more tired.

i am going to try to manage my time better so that i can get more sleep. even if that means not getting A's and B's i will be just as happy with a Pass grade.
