It's not that you're not dreaming, but you're just not remembering any anymore. "Dry spells" refer to not having any lucids for a long time but I guess this could also apply.

Listen to some music before you sleep, or eat chocolate. Once you have the slightest glimmer of a dream, right it down upon awakening. Continue to do this until your dream recall is back to 100%.

      Hope that helps.

If it's like I get, it's a resistance to remembering dreams. Like (1) be generally aware of real world (2) know I'm awake (3) thinks - no dreams to remember (4) try to remember dream after all and can't.

Not sure what to advise other than to stay disciplined. A notepad by my bed and occasionally a voice recorder. Write down anything. Anything - feelings, single words, tunes. Anything that's there after wakening.

Dunno about counting but make sure you keep a notepad by your bed so you write down your dream when you first waken. I know the feeling about not being bothered but to get in touch with dreams it really does require an effort (for some of us anyway).

Wake up an hour early and then doze for a while.

      1) Set a few alarms randomly throughout the night. Fix in your mind the intention to wake up and immediately write down your dream. Don't bother fixing the intention to dream. You are going to dream no matter what. You need to get yourself to think of your dreams first thing upon waking.

      2) Change up your sleep schedule a bit. Go to bed an hour earlier or an hour later

      3) Sleep in a different room or on the couch, or sleep turned around on your bed (head where your feet normally are).

Basically, confuse the hell out of yourself, and be sure to have dreaming be the first thing on your mind when you wake up.

For me after having my dream recall got messed up, I just took a nap in a different bed one evening and I've been fine ever since. =]
