"The world is your playground. There are bumps along the way but this playground comes with a fully equipped toolbox with equipment out there to solve ANY disease, problem or issue out there. ONE problem. Some tools are harder to find than others. Lucid dreaming is just one of them."
- Marcher22
For me it was most likely the Star Trek Voyager episode where the crew was being forced to sleep by aliens and Chakotay was able to go into a lucid dream to fight them. |

I was at goodwill and I saw Lucid Dreaming by Stehpen Laberge. I took it home, read it, googled Lucid Dreaming, and the rest explains itself. |

I think it may actually have been this forum. At least that was probably the first time I'd heard the term lucid dreaming. I was looking up stuff about dreams (had been working on a dream journal), found someone;s blog with a link to here in the relevant post (it;s whoever I credited on the Referred by... option when joining), and have been into lucid dreamign ever since. |

At AE forums... thats for the term, tough for the doing, since I was a kid, I liked dreams, so I tought it would be cool to control them and be concious, and therefore, trained myself to do that. |

I wanted to know that I was dreaming so bad that I made myself become Lucid. After teaching myself how to do it. I ended up stumbling across Stephen Laberge's book in a store and found out other people where doing it too. and in scientific laboratories of all things. |

I was extremely bored, so I decided to clean out the box of magazines on my coffee table. I found many, many more issues of Reader's Digest than the table should be able to physically support. I started paging through some, looking for the funny sections. In one of them, I passed an article about lucid dreaming. |

I've had occassional lucid dreams for years and years. Especially back in my dys as an occultist a certain monthly ritual would sometimes lead to a month of vivid lucid dreams. Between a long term interest in the occult, imagination and psychology it didn't even occur to me it was something some people don't know about. |

Oh, and as for drugs. There's loads of legal highs. Some altered states are awesome. Don't worry about addiction so much, just use them in moderation and take care of yourself. I seem to remember http://www.erowid.org/ being a good site for information. |

5 years ago I was reading about Lucid Dreaming on some website, but my reality was so much better back then that I didnt really need or want to study or learn more about it like I am now. Then earlier this year I wrote a song and I used the word LUCID in the lyrics. And that then resparked my interest into seriously getting into LDs. |

also for the legal high thing, there's some type of flower seeds you can eat and hallucinate off of it, they're actually legal to and a common type of flower, but i forgot which it is.. just make sure you don't get the ones that were treated with poison if you find out which ones they are lol |

On another forum I go on people were talking about dreams that they've had. Then someone mentioned lucid dreaming. Me being naturally curious thought, "What's that." Someone posted a link explaining what it was and I thought, "That sounds awesome." And then I started trying it. |
