Talking How Did you Find out about Lucid dreaming?

How did you find out about lucid dreaming. For me it was really wierd. What happened was:

I was bored one day at home so i decided to Listen to Some of LiL' Wayne's songs ( like Lollipop, P*ssy money, Weed , Pop Bottles etc. ) and after a while i noticed in his songs he mentions how good it feels to get high. So I thought hmm. Is there i legal way to get high?

So i looked all over the internet trying to find a way to get high (legally) and i ended up on this website called I -Doser. and what Idoser is a software that plays what i think is called Binarul beats or something into your eyes so after 10-50 mins (depending on what feeling you want) you will get the sensation.

So in there store they had different things you could try out. There was Marijuana, Cocaine, LSD, Sexual ones such as Orgasm, and then i went to the sleep ones (im glad i did). and i read something about Lucid Dreaming and how if you listened to it ( you would have to buy it first though) it would give you lucid dreams. SO i thought that was pretty cool so i like totally forgot about my quest to get high (thank god could have lead to an addiction) and searched Lucid Dreaming, then eventually found out what it was and then i was lead to this website...

How did you find out about Lucid dreaming?

For me it was most likely the Star Trek Voyager episode where the crew was being forced to sleep by aliens and Chakotay was able to go into a lucid dream to fight them.

I was at goodwill and I saw Lucid Dreaming by Stehpen Laberge. I took it home, read it, googled Lucid Dreaming, and the rest explains itself.

I think it may actually have been this forum. At least that was probably the first time I'd heard the term lucid dreaming. I was looking up stuff about dreams (had been working on a dream journal), found someone;s blog with a link to here in the relevant post (it;s whoever I credited on the Referred by... option when joining), and have been into lucid dreamign ever since.

At AE forums... thats for the term, tough for the doing, since I was a kid, I liked dreams, so I tought it would be cool to control them and be concious, and therefore, trained myself to do that.

I wanted to know that I was dreaming so bad that I made myself become Lucid. After teaching myself how to do it. I ended up stumbling across Stephen Laberge's book in a store and found out other people where doing it too. and in scientific laboratories of all things.

Came across it while researching about paranormal phenomena.
      Actually it went this way:
One day I thought I would try to find some tutorial for Telekinesis (you can say what you want) and stumbled over a site called psipog by some guy who had a really good tutorial for a lot of things. Well this site was inactive for some time, because the creator had a new one and well on that site I saw somewhere that he had written about lucid dreaming and I guess you can think of the rest ^^

I had always loved dreaming but one day I had an amazing dream in which I realized it was a dream and woke up absolutely dazzled. After I googled "I had a dream and I knew I was dreaming" I read about lucid dreaming

Back in senior year of high school - on one of the last few days of school - the class had finished all the work for the year, so the teacher killed class time by telling us stories. One of the things he brought up was lucid dreaming - he told us all about dream signs and keeping dream journals to help improve recall, etc.

And like the nerd I was, I was scribbling everything he was saying down in my notebook.

I was googling on how to dream, because at the time, I thought that sometimes you wouldn't dream, and I wanted to know of a way to dream more, then I stumbled across this website and learned about Lucid Dreaming.

I was extremely bored, so I decided to clean out the box of magazines on my coffee table. I found many, many more issues of Reader's Digest than the table should be able to physically support. I started paging through some, looking for the funny sections. In one of them, I passed an article about lucid dreaming.

I've had occassional lucid dreams for years and years. Especially back in my dys as an occultist a certain monthly ritual would sometimes lead to a month of vivid lucid dreams. Between a long term interest in the occult, imagination and psychology it didn't even occur to me it was something some people don't know about.

But then, it also didn't occur to me that it was something that could be reliably developed by people who weren't super-advanced enlightened something or others until I came to this forum.

Oh, and as for drugs. There's loads of legal highs. Some altered states are awesome. Don't worry about addiction so much, just use them in moderation and take care of yourself. I seem to remember http://www.erowid.org/ being a good site for information.

That said, I don't take too many so I wouldn't recommend it. Only thing I seem ready for is weed. Its worth remembering that caffeine and alcohol are drugs just the same as any other, and a lot of our food is cut with carcinogenic, addictive additives.

5 years ago I was reading about Lucid Dreaming on some website, but my reality was so much better back then that I didnt really need or want to study or learn more about it like I am now. Then earlier this year I wrote a song and I used the word LUCID in the lyrics. And that then resparked my interest into seriously getting into LDs.

my school newspaper had an article about lucid dreaming and that you could learn how to do it. i thought that it was odd because i thought everyone could control their dreams naturally. it listed the benefits and such and then gave this website as a source or something.been here ever since and i'm not leaving.

I first heard about Lucid Dreaming from an interview with Brandon Boyd, the lead singer of Incubus, so I did a google search and ended up here
When I was in high school I was very ambitious, I wanted to be the Class President but I missed out by only about 3 votes.

So they made me the Class Secretary of Defence.

Well first my best friend mentioned it to me but I dismissed it as being something that isnt that important. Then I saw it mentioned on a tv show on the discovery channel, "The Human Body: Pushing the Limits" or something like that where they were talking about our brains when we are asleep. They then mentioned Lucid Dreaming and then after that I went to my computer, got a Dream Journal, got some melatonin and the rest is history.

That's the exact thing that happened to me. I heard Chakotay mention "lucid dreaming" and using the moon as a dream symbol. I Google'd it and found this website. I forget the title of the darned episode though.
