      Smile WTF? The five senses!

Have you ever had the five five senses in a dream? I have!
      Some examples are:
      1.Sight:Obviously you can see.
2.Touch:In 1 of my dreams, well, a lot more than 1, I've had the sense of touch. I was in the middle of a huge star wars battle(not like at Hoth or anything, just a random battle). I was in Mandalorian armor(The armor Boba and Jango Fett wear). We were facing battle droids. For some odd reason, they weren't shooting blaster bolts, but just everyday lead bullets. As some huge star wars fans should know, Mandalorian armor is nearly impenitrable. So the droids started to shoot me, and I didn't get hurt, but it literally felt like I was being shot with rocks!
3.Taste:were you ever kissed by a girl/boy in a dream? I have. It tastes very watery...so, maybe you should try it.
4.Smell:Ever smell a cigarette? Smells horrible. But it's no better in a dream!
5.Sound:Obviously you can hear in dreams too.

I have never lacked any of my 5 senses. Didn't even realize it was a problem for some people.

I always remember sight, mostly remember sound, but touch, smell is not very often. And I can't recall a dream where I've tasted anything a lot.

I keep all the senses. And in dreams my senses usually seem stronger than IWL.

I normally just have sight, sound and touch in a dream, although maybe that's just because I rarely eat in dreams or dream about anything smelly...

I pretty new to lucid dreaming. In the few lucids I have had, I experienced sight (obviously) and touch only. I was quite surprised by how realistic the touch was actually.

Strangely sound isn't usually a component of my dreams. My speech in dreams has always been blurred or distorted. Next time I become lucid I want to try out taste, see if it actually tastes like real life.

Now that you mention it, I can't remember if I could feel scent in any of my dreams.
      Gotta start paying attention.

Everything else is there though. Sight and sound are a given, taste and touch a bit rarer.

The only sense I've truly never experienced was taste. I've had blurred vision, muffled sounds in my surroundings, off-smells, etc. But taste is the only sense completely gone from me in the majority of my dreams.

I always have my sense of touch, which is really nice when you're dreaming. . . But that's also HORRIBLY painful when you have nightmares. Good news is I conquered my nightmares about a year ago. A dog tried to bite me (Imagine a demon dog of some sort), but I got my hands and opened his jaw in both directions. Never saw any blood, but I could feel the dog's sense of surprise before the dream ended. It's weird; since then I've had no problems with nightmares.

Tangent! Anyways, yea, senses can be good AND bad.

Most of my dreams are lacking of senses. There are quite a few where my sense of sight is a blur, and everything is pretty chaotic. I don't think I've ever used anything beyond sight and sound, except maybe touch but not often.

I have been working on touch, taste, and smell. I have smelled so far: zombies, marijuana, and oregano. I have eaten chocolate.

I may have a more unique perspective to contribute. Most of my regular dreams all have sight and sound (though it can be hard to talk/hear sometimes)...which in my opinion are more the "primary" senses of waking like. If the dream has to do with eating or drinking, I can usually taste as well.

When inducing lucid dreams however (since I am typically conscious when I the dream starts to manifest) rarely will I have sight right out of the gate. In fact, the majority of the time I use my sense of touch to help conjure up the rest of the dreamscape (typically sight, but that can lead to other senses). I can sometimes hear as well before I can see, but not as often.

Smell is probably the most absent sense in my dreams, unless I think about it in which case the sense can come back, but I think because smell is more of a passive sense, my brain my not place as much importance to paying attention to that stimuli information unless it is abnormal enough to catch my attention (bad or good smell).

I actually can't smell in real life (I've never been able to), but I have smelled things in a few dreams. Which is odd. Besides that one, taste is the sense I'm least likely to dream about.

Occasionally I have non-visual dreams. Rarely do I ever taste or smell in dreams. I would say if I kept records my chance of a sense appearing in any dream would be something like:

      Sight 99%
      Touch 25%
      Taste 5%
      Smell 2%
      Sound 80%
      Bu

Well, I have all senses, but some are more often prensent then others.

i remembered an article(or book) which wrote that we can't smell in our dreams. Not long after that I did smell something and could concluded that not all articles and books are to be trusted.

In dreams my senses are more intens which is pretty cool!

I usually only have sight, sometimes I hear some sounds or feel something, but never experienced smell or taste..

I think I may have experienced taste for the first time in my dream last night. I was eating chocolate/coconut candies on a stick I don't think I have ever eaten anything in my dreams before but now want to try eating more things!

I have experienced sight and sound, likely touch as well. In terms of smell or taste, can't recall them, but, will definitely find out the next time I have a lucid dream

Actually that could be quite serious. Check out Kallmann Syndrome.
