I think I just had the lamest lucid dream ever

literally. I tried to do visual mild, and I guess it worked, this is my first lucid dream, but I think it was possibly my dullest experience ever.

I had a dream that I went to bed, and dreamed that i was lucid dreaming, and i went sorta lucid then, but I dreamed i was drowning, then suddenly remembered I was in a dream when i found that i could breathe. But i was in seemingly endless water, so i was like.....What now?

So I started swimming, I swear i did it for 3 minutes, but didn't even get tired! I finally reached the surface, and found that I was on a familiar, usually crowded beach (I live in Hawaii), and nobody was there, I was all by myself.

To most, this would seem a dream come true, but not to me, I've lived in Hawaii all my life, 15 years of the beach just makes you sick of it, and avoid it. People only really go when their friends are going, but there I was, all alone.

I had another what now moment, and did some things, but I don't quite remember what I did, but it must not have been very significant, because the dream ended not too long after.

      Kind of a waste, huh?

Couldn't be worse than my first, my first lasted 30 seconds, I jumped off my balcony trying to fly, then I hit the ground and woke up.

Like you have to know how to teleport heh

Really, you can do absolutely anything. You don't know how, youjust do it. There are techniques you can use to help, but it's not something you have to learn. You can even make up your own techniques based on your archetypes. Like, for example, I used to play Rayman 2 all the time when I was younger, so I could make one of the portals from that game to teleport, and it should be more likely to work because I've seen it a million times playing that game.

My tip, though, always formulate a goal, pick one thing you really want to do and affirm your intention to do it first thing the next time you are lucid. Trying to come up with something on the spot has never worked out for me, it just seems that you can't do it the way you can while awake, when dreaming.

Stuff like that is pretty normal for your first lucid, though, you're so amazed at being lucid that you can't really get your thoughts together to do something - and it is an amazing feeling, isn't it?
