Thanks for the words of encouragement guys, I've noticed I haven't been able to remember my dreams as much as I used to, so I guess I'll start by trying to improve my memory of them.

Few questions though, how "real" do lucid dreams get. Can you honestly not tell the difference from real life and a dream? In terms of physical sensations that is. Can you feel your own weight? Can you feel textures that you touch?

Depending on how aware you are, they can feel semi-real, almost "fuzzy", to extremely real. I remember having a high-level lucid that looked almost exactly like real life, and things felt the same too. I've definitely touched textures and they feel extremely real. As for feeling my own weight, sometimes when I jump I tend to float a bit more than I should, but that's pretty much it. If you expect yourself to be weighted down, you will be.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
