My first luucid was a LONG time ago. I was at a pool and all theese kids wanted me to swim but i couldnt because my mom told me that i was not allowed to get wet. Then i relised i was dreaming and told them that i couldnt swim but i would walk on water. So i did. I was about 8 years old and remember it pretty good!

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

      Yaaaaaay

Had lucids at young age too,
my first one was probaly when I knew I was dreaming but I couldn't wake up, so I asked all my DC's if they knew a way to wake me up but they didn't.
then I went on some train tracks to kill myself so I would wake up, but I got off the tracks just before the train came because what if it wasn't a dream 0.0 x)
      Woke up somewhere after that.

Um...I think if you're lucid enough to do a reality check, you really don't need to do them. I'll probably get screamed at for saying that here...but I can only speak for myself when I tell you that ....there's usually one moment when you say...HEY....I'm dreaming...and It's not after a reality check. I think the reality checks are just an affirmation for your own peace of mind. Congrats on your first one. I'm still trying to master being able to do this at my own will. Sometimes I wake up and know I was just dreaming, but NEVER had that moment of ....HEY!!

One other thing that I've found, is that since I'm an old married guy (who happens to be incredibly good looking and all that...just kidding) I have to worry about what I say in my sleep. There have been a few times when I'm pretty sure that I'm dreaming, but am afraid to say anything out loud...because it might wake up my wife. That would be kind of inconsiderate.

In my first lucid experience, I was around 7, I don't know, it was when I first watched Jurassic Park:

I was happily on my bead (it was a bunk bed, and I had the top one ) when SUDDENTLY VELOCIRAPTORS out of nowere storm into the bedroom! I was like "oh holy moly" and jumped into the top level of a 3 levels wardrobe that went from the ground to the ceiling and that was right beside my bed. It was higher than the velociraptors, so they coudn't see me. But still, I looked down to them searching for me and coudn't stop thinking they'd find me soon!! That's when I got lucid, maybe it was induced by the dream panic, anyway, I thought, this IS a dream, but I have to wake up before they find me! So I made this inner effort thing I do now to wake myself up from a dream (I don't know how I even thought of doing it at that time) and woke up!

      Cool but scary :O
      ZzzzzZZzzz....
