      Arghh..Another fail!

Well..yet another Lucid Dream fail (false LD) [(I haven't had an LD yet)]

So, I almost never remember dreams on weekdays because of school, and if I remember them, they rarely are vivid.

But this time, I accidentally put my alarm clock for like 30 minutes before I needed to wake up, and I said.."meh, I'll leave it like that and do some MILD or something" (When I wake up before 8 AM or something, I can return to sleep in 1 minute or less) so I slept, the alarm clock got off and I slept in 1 minute again: and had a really vivid dream.

I was in a store that is near to my house, and I bought some chips and whatever and I returned to my house, I somehow supposedly "noticed that I was dreaming" and I was like all happy and jumping around the house and told my brother "I AM DREAMING!!" then a friend was on my house and I told him "I AM DREAMING..OMG I AM DREAMING....THIS IS A DREAM!!" and I remember thinking that it was so real and looked like real life (all my false LDs are like these, I even question if they were real LDs but I..don't remember consciousness) and my friend told me "Okay alright..you are dreaming" and I told him "come on let's try to fly!" (i was still on my house) and then random things happened, I tried to levitate stuff. My mom told me "Want to come with me to the store?" and I told her "Shut the fuck up I am dreaming" with a lot of swearing and she got mad, I told her many things like that.
Then I think the dream ended.
This is so sad....maybe they are LDs or something with a low lucidity or what..?? On all of my False LDs I've had are like these: They feel like special dreams and maybe even remember consciousness but at the same time it's not like I was really conscious or something...GAAAH!! my brain is going to explode I'm confused.

The one you quoted really sounded like a lucid dream. You noticed you were dreaming while in a dream, so that's a lucid dream, even if it's for a split second.

Yeah, sounds like a lucid. Also, you can't have a false lucid, just dreams about lucidity, for having a false lucid you would need to have false conciousness. Anyway, so long as you become aware of it being a dream, that is one lucid there.

It sounds like a Lucid Dream but I remember it as a normal dream...
Maybe I'm missing something, and Lucid Dreams feel like normal dreams, but then LDing would be worthless.
I can't explain this, it's like so hard to explain it.

I've had like other 5 "false" LD's like these, and this is the one that I said "I am Dreaming" more times...like 7 times in the dream

@Walms: Well, but it's still "false" because it was a normal dream about LD....or...............damn it
      !

All these "false LDs" or dreams about LDing or I don't know what the hell are they are making me start losing motivation about Lding... :S :/

lol not false, you weren't falsely lucid, just dreamed about one. Also, saying =/= knowing, so it doesn't matter how much you say "I'm dreaming!" it doesn't mean you "know" you are dreaming, that must be where the confusion comes.

Well but...then what should I do to know it instead of saying it, I mean they are dreams, you don't choose to say it or to know it.... Anything that maybe I am not doing?

Think about it, that also solves the excitment problem, you can stop, think about it, stabilize and make sure your LD will be memorable once you wake up. Thats what I would do, at least.

Think about it when? I mean, if it's a normal dream you can't think in a dream, that's because you're unconscious, how would I decide in a normal dream if I will only say "I'm dreaming" or thinking and giving it a meaning...that's just impossible, you don't normally control dreams unless it's an LD.

I think you are not understanding the point of this thread and of my problem.

You CAN think in a dream, especially if lucid, a lot of people remember thinking in non-lucids even.

Well you think in non-lucids but you don't control what to think, everything just goes how your brain wants it to be. I remember thinking in non-lucids..

But you are still not answering my question. QUESTION: How to give a meaning to "I am dreaming" and not just saying it????

People can also control their dreams and don't even know their dreaming. When you say "I'm dreaming" Thats when you think about it.

Because you are paying close attention to it while thinking it? That is what should happen, when thinking/talking about lucidity, you should try to be aware.

I don't know and don't understand....this is so confusing and sad, if I get one of these "false " or "dreams about LDing' again I'm going to get really de-motivated and sad.......well

I'm confused on what your talking about, I don't even know anymore! Are you talking about thinking about lucid dreams but not lucid dreaming??

I'm also confused, I'm talking about not having LDs, only having dreams where I Say that I'm dreaming and do what I would do on a LD, that's why I call it "False LD" but then everyone tells me that term doesnt exist.

so your saying in your "false lucids" you are aware you are dreaming, but you make complete irrational decisions, that when you wake up, make you think "why did i do that?"
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

ah i think i see what your saying or what the problem is
you're not really lucid, you would KNOW for a fact that your dreaming if you were lucid
simply saying "im dreaming" in a dream could be an unconscious decision
i think thats what's confusing you
you're not really becoming lucid.. ?
