      Too excited... Woke up...

Help please! I was about to do something awesome in a Lucid last night, and I was THIS CLOSE!!!! but my dream faded and I woke right before. I had a DEILD, and then I tried again, basically going into the same dream, and The same thing happened. How do I keep myself calm, even when I'm about to do something really exciting? Help please!

      Thanks!

Cheers for your successful try !
Excitement in LDing is a common thing, actually I woke up in my 2 first LDs from excitement, but after that it came that I continued it naturally . If you are not up with the idea to lose your first dreams in order to get use to the excitement, then you have to calm down yourself ( as you said ) . I never tried that before but I heard many saying that you have to speak to yourself or to your mind saying that its just a dream, not a big deal .
Good luck with your LD .

Thinking too much about the fact that you are in dream usually doesn't work out well, for me at least. I become aware of my body way too fast.
About excitement.... can't really help you there, I often have same problem. Getting more lucid time/experience has only helped me.
