Red face Lucidity and Works of Art in dreams?!

I had a brief lucid the other day where I found this awesome comic book store, and I just wanted to absorb the awesome artwork and stories. I knew I couldn't take the books with me when I woke up, but I really wanted to! So I sat down, curled up with a blanket, and page after page I just tried to remember every vivid detail of the inspiring graphic novels. Because I really want to make one!

When I woke up when I was upset, because the amazing artwork and the stories were gone

But now I'm thinking, what if the comics, the artwork and the stories, what if it's not gone? According to dream understanding, my subconscious made those works of art right? So, aren't the works of art in some weird way, still there in my subconscious?

It always floors me how amazing the subconscious is in terms of creativity. So what if the dream comic books didn't exist in waking life. The details, the composition, the painting technique, I would argue it was real, because some real creativity and intelligence has to be backing it up! And my subconscious made a whole library, in an instant, or at least the instant I picked up a book, BOOM!

If there is something I can take away from this dream its, I am fully capable of completing and publishing my own graphic novel!! My dream has shown me that I have access to a vast creativity.

I know that I'm not the only artist on this forum who woke up a little frustrated that our own works of art just pale in comparison to dreamed works of art. Or maybe you don't think of yourself as an artist, but your dreams show otherwise.

How can we, as lucid dreamers, transform our dreamed works of art into waking reality?

I have some ideas, but I thought I'd let other be share theirs before I might derail this to beyond dreaming

I would maintain that the artwork would be forever changing if you were to revisit that store. However, if this is not the case then you can effectively 'realise' these dreams.

I assume you have a location of reference in your lucid dreams. say, your bedroom? Essentially, an unchanging, usually boring space. Within this, you must have the capacity to summon a door and simultaneously have enough belief to wholeheartedly believe that this comic book store exists beyond it. If you can do this, there is no reason why you couldn't repeatedly visit that store, focus on one of the works, and then wake up with it in your mind.

If, however, you're asserting that you cannot draw nor paint (technique wise), but have seen such creations in your dreams, then I'm afraid it would be irrational to believe you have this refined skill already present in waking life.

The completed, creative piece. Yes you can realise that. But you cannot photographically transfer years worth of drawing/painting technique to waking life because it occurred during a dream.

It is certainly possible to remember the artwork. I have seen paintings hanging on walls which I remembered upon waking up.

Maybe next time just pick one image, and focus on it until you wake up. Once you can remember one, try 2 the next night.

Oh, and a cool idea: if you see an interesting image, try pulling yourself into it.

I've had this problem with drawing. It's not so much a problem as a tease, actually. I seem to be in an entirely different state of mind (with respect to my attention to detail) when drawing while dreaming. Nothing parallels it. It's always easier to see something in your mind than to put it down on paper or whatever medium you choose.
