Its still just one dream. But this morning I was trying to wild and ended up falling asleep directly into a dream of me trying to get into sp on my couch. My mom walked in and asked me if I was sleeping and I just ignored her and kept trying to get into sp. All the sudden I started hearing stuff and got up and became lucid. But it was all just one dream. But it was weird wilding in a dream and then getting lucid haha.

Yeah, I just had one the other night, it was pretty cool because ive never had one before. I was in my living room and saw my sister go upstairs. Then I decided to follow her, but realized she looked a lot different, which cause me to become lucid for my third time so far I did the nose pinch reality check and it worked, but once again I became too exited and woke up...or so I thought. I woke up on my kitchen floor, and realized I was late for school. I asked my dad to drive me to school. Then I woke up for real and was confused haha.

I've tried WILDing in a dream, before. It was (not surprisingly) incredibly easy. I've also laid down to take a nap, which normally leads to a totally new dream, or a false awakening.

WOW WHY IS EVERYONE POSTING STUFF ABOUT DREAMS WITHIN DREAMS??????

Ok a few nights ago I went to sleep in a dream I dreamt that I dreamt of a guy telling me that something smelled like afro then i woke up back in the original dream exactly where i left off just in the morning instead of night.

I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

Yes, there seems to be a couple of existing threads on the topic >.>

Anyways, that happens to be my favourite way of getting out of sleep paralysis, or changing a false awakening. When I have a false awakening, trying to move often causes me to wake up. So if I try to WILD from within the dream, it releases me from that struggle. It helps to have a new location or an idea in mind. I'm a bit new to this technique, and the few times I got to try it, previously, I ended up with a really unstable dream and muddy vision because I didn't know where I was going (my brain is no good at coming up with new, random places).

I don't believe there is such a thing as a dream within a dream insofar as reaching a finer consciousness etc. Try to conceptualise what occurs differently.

Sometimes when lucid, you may want a change of surroundings and theme. So you will it so, or use some technique to achieve this. One would not say that this is a dream within a dream. Right? Just change, or a successive link of dreams.

To conceptualise this dream within a dream malarky differently, simply use the initiation of a W.I.L.D to replace the technique (underlined above). As you choose to repeat a W.I.L.D during the dream, you erroneously believe that the result of this technique is a 'deeper consciousness'. Nonetheless, the point is that the technique could be anything, such as spinning, and it merely results in a change of circumstances.

Specifically, you're stringing dreams together in a chainlike fashion - but the method you choose may cause you to conceptualise the result of this differently (e.g. I'm going deeper).

Well I know it is not going deeper at all. But it is very much like having a dream within a dream when the second dream scene disappears and you awaken back into the first dream.

I think the only thing that might appear as a dream within a dream is a false awakening. But its still just one dream.

I think what he means is exactly going to sleep in a dream having a different dream and then waking up back into the first dream. Whish has happened to me once.

thank you everyone for your responses.. Still bein unable to lucid when i want i feel it would be very difficult for me to attempt to lucid in a dream haha. I liked the idea of just convincing yourself in a lucid that you are in a dream withing a dream. IT might just work. I just loved the feeling when i had a false awakening and thought my day was going and then i woke up again.. it was like damn how do i no im not dreaming now. very trippey love it thanks again

http://www.dreamviews.com/f13/dream-...-dream-104114/ Thats a thread i started on the same subject. Just as Waterknight was saying, i had a dream where i took a nap remembered all my dreams from the nap, woke in the first dream and THEN woke up to reality.

Is it really real or am I still dreaming?
