      Blank Slate..

Well I tried attaining regular lucidity this summer but alas, I haven't had a single LD in those 3 months..

I was hoping someone could analyze my sleep habits etc. and try to help me achieve lucidity...

On School Nights: I usually go to sleep around 11-Midnight and wake up 6:30-7:00 and almost every single night I take 2 NyQuil pills OR 2 Melatonin pills

On NON-School Nights: I usually decide to crash between 4 and 5 AM and I get up 1-3 PM... I usually don't take sleeping medication on Non School Nights...

I CAN make time for meditation/Dream recording... BUT... I don't know what good it would do me... I have had very few LD's but the ones I have had were amazing.. Thank you all in advance

      Sincerely, r2d2651

Then I recommend meditation. When I was at university, and so had to deal with academic matters, I noticed that my success in LDing decreased tenfold. You seem to be in a similar situation. Meditation clears the mind of these matters, and consequently allows you to focus all of your mental-space on the intention to LD - the most important factor. And it makes it far easier to not move during the W.I.L.D induction. It certainly helped me.

Why do you fail with W.I.L.Ds? Are you too awake - e.g. move around, fidgety etc., or too tired - e.g. you fall asleep during induction?

I usually fall asleep when I try a WBTB and I am always too awake when I try a WILD without any prior sleep... So... Meditate... On Lucid Dreaming? In my free time? Or DURING WILD attempts? When you say meditate on LD, something comes to mind. will it "plant the seed" in my subconscious or something? And allow more DILDs?

any particular reason you take Nyquil every single night on school nights? I would think that would interfere with your ability to have lucid dreams...

Well, now, don't you think it's a bit past summer? xD

Why don't you try going to bed earlier? You will be too tired in the middle of the night to put in any effort.

And why do you take NyQuil? That isn't going to help you!!!

I take NyQuil/Melatonin because I have a lot of trouble going to sleep sometimes and I'd rather not risk staying up...

Take melatonin over nyquil, melatonin is more natural and doesnt interferer with LD'ing if taken in small amounts. Stay away from nyquil.

Then take one pill! You don't need to take more than you need to to fall asleep!

It is, but only because Nyquil isn't really good to take when you don't have a cold.
