Thread: Shared Dreaming

This isn't just a story, its more than that i promise..

Last night i had the most, Real, lucid dream i have ever had. I could see clearly, it seemed more clear than real life. i could smell, i could hear, i could feel the wind on my face. It was amazing,

In my dream, i decided to meet up with a very good friend of mine. all i did was think about him and he was there. (ive known him since 7th grade) We were walking, and came to a canyon. (looked much like the grand canyon) We decided to start walking through it. While we were walking we saw in the distance what we thought was a camel, but was actually two different animals, next to each other. later, after talking about lucid dreaming (he's never heard of it in real life) we came across a mine, after that, on the other side of the canyon, was a battlefield. Alot of killing was involved.

All in all, it was an unbelievable dream. When i woke up, i went straight for the phone. i decided to text my friend. he didnt answer back until later today, i got a text back from him. he said whats up? (as weird as it may sound) i asked him if he dreamt about me.. he replied back no. and about 10 seconds later, (it must have taken him a second to remember) a yes.

(keep in mind, dream recall on an average person, one that has never practiced dream recall or lucid dreaming probably isnt the greatest at remembering dreams.

so i asked him, where were we in the dream if you can remember? it took him a while, but i finally got a reply back.. with exact wording,

"in a mine, a warzone, y?"

I was amazed when he told me. i asked him any details of his dream and he told me he doesnt remember alot, but i was telling him that we were dreaming, (which i was, it was our conversation almost the whole time) and that there was alot of killing happening in the warzone, which was passed the mine) he never said anything about the camel, or the two animals it actually was, but then again, he didnt remember all that much. There was some small detail that i asked about which was very similar to what was in my dream also.

Coincidence? Maybe, but in my opinion, i would have to say that this was much more than that. It blew my mind, so i decided to share this with everyone.

If anyone has ever experienced something like this, or believes in shared dreaming and can explain my experience please, let me know.
