I'm not sure, but I think you're only talking in your sleep while still in the Light sleep. Atleast I do that. |

My dad always tells me these stories of how I talk very clearly in my sleep. The words don't mean anything but they are definitely words. I was wondering if it would be possible to say something while lucid and saying it in the real world. I guess you could set up a sound recorder next to your bed and when you become lucid try and talk or something. I think this would be a very interesting experiment |

OH, so when you would be lucid dreaming, your brain would be much too... asleep to do anything... |

I totally agree with Matte87. When you're lucid and you move your arm, you're not moving it in the real world. So when you move your mouth and words come out, it probably won't register in the real world. But you can't know completely until you try, right? |

Actions such as sleepwalking occur in deep sleep, not REM sleep. It would be my best guess that your experiment would not work, but feel free to give it a try |
