What's happening is you're interupting the REM cycles, then when you go back to sleep you reenter them rapidly. Then, time expansion occurs and the dream, which may only last a few seconds in reality, seems to last quite a while in your mind. |

Yeah, thats basically what WILD is, it just skips some stages. |

Whats better than complete freedom from laws, both judicial and physical?
Yeah, i have noticed that when i'm on a summer vaction, i tend to automatically wake up at the normal wake up time without even wanting, because i've been doing it all year... So after i wakeup automatically, it seems like only seconds untill i go back into my dream, which is a great opportunity for an LD if i remmember to do reality checks. |

Insanity is the new avant-garde.
Also the longer you sleep, the faster REM comes. I doubt waking up will cause you to miss any sleep in the first two stages, and as long as you get that its not going hurt any. |

That happens to me all the time. I wake up at 7ish when my husband goes off to school, and am up for a little while, and then I fall asleep until about 8 or so when my son gets up, and without fail I dream in that 30-45 minutes. Its pretty awesome because I am almost guarenteed to dream and because I dream that soon after I fall asleep it is quite often lucid....works for me. |

The only limits of our minds are the limits we set for ourselves.

The task of our generation is to cut through the illusion that we inhabit separate worlds. Only then will we find the heart to rise to the daunting but urgent challenges of global disparity. --Losang Rabgey
